The Company:
Our Client is one of the world's largest Oil and Gas companies. Their operations cover the entire energy chain, including oil exploration and production to trading, shipping and refining and marketing of petroleum products, as well as chemicals. The Role:
•Develop the overall Project Dept. Quality Plan and Quality Plans for major projects to ensure that standards are met
•Pro-actively liaise with appropriate SHE, Technology and Operations teams to ensure their input to Projects’ quality activities
•Effectively monitor the SI 1996:913 (DCR) Independent Competent Person verification activities and other conformity assessments
•Manage the Company inspection team – in relation to Projects Department activities and arrange 3rd Party Inspection to ensure fabrications and procurements meet Company quality requirements
•Implement QA procedures and ensure QC is maintained to a high standard
•Monitor the derogation register and non-conformance registers to ensure that variations to Company rules and standards are treated correctly
•Supervise, co-ordinate and control the QA/QC matters for the supply of materials, prefabrication and construction for onshore and offshore works
•Provide effective technical assistance to the Project Team on all QA/QC, metallurgical and welding matters
•Ensure procedures and rules are developed and applied according to the latest edition of referentials
•Control and check the specifications, requisitions, design, procedures, manuals etc. for compliance with Company Standards
•Conduct review of QC documentation generated in support of the Contractor’s activities
•Liaise with Project Team members on a daily basis providing feedback on performance of Contractor/ Sub-Contractor
•Ensure all quality records and certification are correctly input into EDMS.
•Liaise with TDO/TEC quality function to ensure corporate quality initiatives are implemented in the company

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Engineering degree in a relevant discipline
•Appropriate post qualification experience in QC/Inspection within Oil & Gas Industry
•Knowledge of welding and NDT
•Knowledge of metallurgy and materials engineering
•Experience of application of Quality Assurance Systems
•Familiar with relevant National and International Codes & Standards as well as TEP referential
•Member of a Professional Body
