The Company:
a major oil and gas operator

The Role:
• Ensure that the Level 3 and 4 Quality Forms and Records as identified within the Operator’s Major Projects Construction Quality Program Manual (CQPM) are being utilized by the construction contractors.
• Interface with construction contractors and TAR Inspection Group facilitating QVD completion, collection and final acceptance.
• Facilitate system turnovers by participating in system walk downs and field design change processes (RFI/EC/MOC) and interface with the Turnover Coordinator to ensure QVD’s are being assembled into the individual system Dossier’s.
• Assist, as required, the QA Auditor/Engineer in conducting field validation of the Major Projects CQPM.
• Complete Daily QA Report indicating QA oversight activities conducted and provide the report to the QA Lead Rep.

• Ensure that the Level 3 and 4 Quality Forms and Records are being utilized by the construction contractors.
• Validate ITP implementation by contractors.
• Participate in witnessing any applicable testing activities, such as hydrostatic testing, PMI testing etc.
• Assist the Quality Auditor/Engineer in the timely closure of any identified Nonconformance Reports (NCRs).
• Assist in conducting quality audits of field construction activities.
• Collect and provide Daily QA Oversight Reports to the QA Lead.

• Champion the adherence to the requirements of the Operator’s Major Projects Construction Quality Program Manual (Operator CQPM).
• Ensure Level 3 and 4 Quality Forms are being utilized to document construction work performed.
• Prepare daily QA oversight report to the QA Lead which indicates field Quality Oversight activities and support.
• Review the contractor’s Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and conduct QA oversight as applicable within the plans.
• Participate in meeting with contractors to discuss performance and status of improvement opportunities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) either by American Welding Society (AWS) or American Petroleum institute (API)
• Must have an in-depth working knowledge of American Society for Mechanical Engineering (ASME) B 31.1 & B31.3 (Piping Welding). Must have a good working knowledge of AWS D.1.1 (Structural welding).
• Well versed in Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) including Visual Examination, Ultra-sonic Examination, Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnaflux Testing (MT) and Radiography Testing (RT).
• Familiar with hydro-testing piping systems.
• Familiar and proficient in reading Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs).
