QA / HSE Supervisor

The Role:
•Review of work orders and quotes to ensure quality requirements are correct and clear.
•Establish Product specification levels for projects, bids and work orders.
•Ensure QA / HSE training of staff is carried out to raise competence to required level. Create and coordinate training schedule.
•Ensure that the company's Quality and Safety policies are known and upheld within the company.
•Ensure all QA / HSE work (CCR’s, audits etc) is completed professionally, correctly and in a timely fashion.
•Carry out vendor audits.
•Control vendor approvals with Purchasing.
•Ensure NCR / corrective action system is processing smoothly.
•Analyse negative NCDR trends.
•Ensure QA / HSE systems are maintained per ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 (latest edition).
•Maintain communications and co-ordinate ISO 9001 issues with all other departments within Company.
•Developing company policy with the management on H, S and E issues.
•Work with Health and Safety committee to ensure HSE procedures are written, implemented and understood.
•Strive to link the company’s QA system with the HSE system. Liase with company Edmonton as necessary to achieve this.
•Assist with ensuring that the company complies with statutory requirements on HSE issues.
•Prepare monthly CAR/PAR reviews for UK Operations Manager.
•Perform internal audits on QA and HSE system.
•Creating work instructions and flow charts to simplify systems.
•Assist the company Edmonton with locating UK/European vendors.
•Liaise with document control and set targets for SDR closure.
•Analyse and report on various trends relating to processes e.g. late delivery, client feedback.
•Control of QA / HSE records and their archiving.
•Training employees on Edmonton Doc Link.
•Recording all accident or near miss accidents within the company.
•Conduct weekly tool box talks.
•Carry our new employee inductions.
•Analyse order delivery report status.
•Attend monthly corporate safety committee meetings.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Secondary school education.
•Experience in a purchasing environment.
•Working knowledge of computers and software systems.
•Strong interpersonal skills.
•NEBOSH certificate or QA qualification.
•Ability to communicate verbally or in writing with equal effectiveness.
•Knowledge and understanding of HSE / QA / Manufacturing, (oil and gas industry preferred)
•Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
•Able to provide leadership, coordination, guidance and drive issue resolution.
•Capable of working in a fast paced environment.
•Capable of working with minimal supervision.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office
