The Role:
JOB Position based in Gabon (Port Gentil), as a Resident (not rotational).
Hierarchical relationship: Project Director with operational link to Project Control Manager
Projects under execution phase, and which will cover mainly offshore construction activities under SIMOPS mode for the remaining duration of the project.

Missions :
To assist the project management team (including work package managers) in the organisation, implementation and audit of quality procedures related to the project.
To establish, follow up and constantly control the quality management system of the project.
To organise and coordinate the quality surveillance of contractors, issuing updated evaluations of their performance within the project.

Activities :
Project Management :
To review contractor project execution plans, project quality plans, quality control plans, audit schedules and key project management procedures, ensuring that they are logical, process-focussed, and systematic and that they fulfil contract requirements.
To attend management meetings to monitor contractors’ quality activities, including development and implementation of contractors’ quality audit schedules.
To prepare the project work package team’s own contractor surveillance plans.
To develop the project work package team’s own internal systems for workflow and document control.
Engineering :
To review key contractor engineering procedures to ensure logical process flow, design planning, design verification, quality control of document structure and format, and logical interface with procurement and construction.
Procedure Management
To review key contractor procurement procedures to ensure logical process flow and logical interface with engineering and construction.
To monitor procurement process, ensuring that the contractor has adequately assessed and implemented the quality assurance and quality control requirements for suppliers and subcontractors.
To ensure that the contractor develops and implements suitable corrective action programmes when deficiencies arise in vendor or subcontractor performances.
Construction :
To review key contractor construction management procedures to ensure logical process flow and logical interface with engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning.
To ensure that the contractor develops and implements suitable corrective action programmes when deficiencies arise during construction.
To assist Finance & budget Leader in elaborating the annual project budget.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum 15years of experience in quality management.
Significant experience with O&G contractors
Fluent in French (and English)
