The Company:

The Role:
-To support the FCP Project Team on matters relating to the implementation of Quality and Project Management Systems throughout the Owners Team and the EPCM Contractor, and subcontractors.
-To undertake audits and reviews of processes to assure that effective procedures / controls are being implemented, and identify items that require improvement by effective and expeditious improvement actions. Follow-up reviews to be undertaken to verify satisfactory implementation of improvement actions.
Audits and reviews shall also include compliance to Contract requirements.
-To manage the activities of the SIPD appointed Third Party Inspection (TPI) Services contractor.
-To review selected QA / QC documents submitted by the EPCM Contractor.
-To expedite the timely submission of Vendor MRBs and O&M Manuals.
-Manage the IM function assigned to the FCP Team


-Responsibility for management and coordination of FCP TPI inspection at Contractors and Vendors locations.
-Implementation of the FCP audit / review schedule.
-Review key design, vendor and subcontractor documents related to Quality.
-Communicate with the TAs on technical issues that require expert advice and / or TA1 approval.
-Assuring consistent application of Project approved standards and the control of any justifiable deviations.
-Liaise effectively with other functions within FCP Team, particularly the Integrated Construction Management Team (ICMT).
-Implementation of DCAF requirements.
-Interfaces with EPCM Contractor, vendors and Construction Contractors.
-Assist with the implementation of the Flawless Project Delivery requirements via QC inspection.
-Manage the IM function within the FCP team

-Working on a project for a remote location;
-Working with a EPCM Contractor to coordinate Quality activities;
-Working with a diverse range of contractors and vendors both within and outside Iraq;
-Working in a multicultural/multi-company (SIPD/ Petrofac) team;
-Focus on compliance and Quality deliverables with zero tolerance in safety.

Role will require visits as required to the field in Iraq for the purposes of conducting ICMT and Subcontrator audits as per the approved audit schedule.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
-Engineering degree in Mechanical (or other discipline) Engineering.
-A minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry
-Experience in performing audits and reviews
-Sound experience in design, procurement, construction and commissioning of oil and gas production installations
-Knowledge of DEP’s and International standards
-Experience in working with EPCM Contractors and Vendors
-Preferably Middle East experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
-Knowledge of Quality and Project Management Systems and their implementation
-Auditing of processes with respect to effectiveness rather than just compliance to a procedure
-Working with a FEED / EPCM contractor to develop agreed Quality requirements for input into specifications, and review of design deliverables
-Working with a diverse range of contractors and vendors both within and outside Iraq;
-Good communication skills, flexibility and self-confidence.
-Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
