The Role:
QA / QC Coordinator

We are currently seeking an experienced QA QC Coordinator to work for a major player in the Oil & Gas industry.

Based in Perth but with occasional offshore visits, your main focus for this role will be to:

Review the Customer specifications to ensure all technical aspects for the Shutdown are clear and understood.
Liaise with the Customer on all quality, inspection and testing requirements.
Assist in the development of Shutdown specific process flows, procedures, work instructions and inspection test records.
Provide a focal point for all technical based queries from subcontractors and suppliers.
Provide support on any quality issues to the shutdown team and subcontractors.
Provide support to Implementation Engineers in the preparation of work packs, Inspection and Test Plans and associated method statements and work instructions.
Review Requests for Quotation (RFQ), scopes of work and implementation work packs prior to issue for action.
Ensure Customer quality requirements are adhered to and that company procedures are followed.
Monitor the competence of external providers to provide compliant products and/or services.
Coordinate and/or undertake equipment inspection activities and prepare inspection records in accordance with inspection and test plan or other agreed requirements.
Coordinate and/or undertake shutdown inspection activities and prepare inspection records in accordance with inspection and test plan or other agreed requirements.
Monitor and follow shutdown work packs to mechanical completion ensuring full compliance and signoff during the execution phase.
Ensure the shutdown work packs process is efficient and seemless.
Facilitate the identification, reporting, investigation, disposition and follow-up of process or product non-conformance.
Initiate and verify suitability of corrective or preventive action where required to eliminate existing or potential causes of non-conformance.
Continuously monitor the Shutdown team’s and subcontractors’ work faces for compliance with project specifications and certification requirements.
Review Client and subcontractor Manufacturer’s Data Reports (MDR), close out reports and inspection verification records for compliance with agreed requirements.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The QA QC Coordinator should have trade qualifications and a minimum of 5 years experience in the offshore engineering, petrochemical and maintenance industries.
Good Interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of Management Systems.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.
Excellent communication skills and business behaviour ethics.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of maintenance management systems preferred.
Good knowledge of quality control quality assurance procedures and processes.
Good knowledge of maintenance related engineering problems. (eg corrosion, erosion, Hazardous Area Equipment etc).
