The Company:
A Major Oil and Gas Operation is looking for a QA/QC Coordinator to work on a world scale project

The Role:
The Turret Quality Team Lead reports to the Quality Manager and is responsible for facilitating the development and effective implementation of the Project Quality Management System (PQMS). Ensure that effective QMS are in place and being implemented for the design, procure, manufacturing or fabricating of the Rosebank facility equipment. Successful candidate must have knowledge of oil & gas major capital projects, with offshore and international experience. • Absolute commitment to safe work principles and high ethical work standard• Assemble and Lead a team of Site Inspection Representatives to oversight the Turret contractor capabilities. Perform Quality Systems audits; provide support for Quality Systems improvements. Develop and maintain Contractor quality metrics. Continually work with Contractor to improve performance, implement process control and quality plans• Overall accountability and responsibility for planning and implementation of appropriate QA/QC Contractor quality programs for the facilities, which are likely to be spread across several international locations.• Exercise a high degree of independence; strong leadership skill to lead a team of multifunctional international Site Inspection Representatives• Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with a variety of skilled functional personnel, other project’s Team Leads and contractor personnel. Engage with key stakeholders through various stages of project execution, including Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Construction, Operations and System Completion.• Must be flexible, goal-oriented and have strong interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor and the ability to work with minimal supervision. • Direct implementation of COMPANY Incident & Injury Free program within contractor quality management organization. • Lead team to qualify potential Suppliers/Vendors for Company’s Approved Vendor List. Coordinate Quality services for vendor inspection visits.• Provide QA/QC technical input in the development of Invitation to Tender packages and throughout the tendering process through to award recommendation• Provides management and direction to COMPANY Inspection Reps to ensure compliance with the Company Quality expectations in RFQ, RFP or Purchase Order technical requirements. • Manage inspection of engineered equipment and materials at the point of manufacture to ensure conformance with project requirements.• Actively promote quality awareness and commitment within the Project Contractors. Prepare for and attend vendor kick-off meetings at various stages of project execution.• Assure that activities required for the procurement quality management system are planned, implemented, controlled, and their progress monitored.• Provide Technical consultation on equipment and material manufacturing quality and inspection issues with support of company SMEs.• Ensure that concessions and deficiencies are properly documented and processed• Provide regular reports to Project Quality Manager

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education: • An University degree in engineering with a total of five (5) years in Quality Management experience; or a high school diploma with ten (10) years of experience in Quality Audit/Surveillance process. Additionally, three (3) years directly relating to employee supervision of Quality Inspection activities in the area of oil, gas and/or petrochemical projects.
Experience: • Broad knowledge of FPSO Turret engineering design and fabrication• Working knowledge of oil and gas quality practices and international codes (ISO 9001, API Spec Q1, and ISO/TS 29001). In depth knowledge of applicable codes and standards (i.e. ASME, AISC, ASTM, API, AWS, NACE, NFPA, NEC, IEEE, ISA, etc.).• Past Construction, Project Management, or knowledge of European Directives and Harmonised Standards are very useful.

Have a methodical and well organized approach to the work environment.• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to interface with colleagues, customers and contractors at all levels• Establish team building rapport with internal and external recipients to ascertain a successful working relationship• Comply and promote compliance with Company and Project specific procedures/processes to ensure success• Capable to conceptualize Company’s processes/systems and effectively implement them to meet project technical needs.
Certification: • Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or other recognized equivalent audit certification.
