The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Coordinator to join our client in this newly created, Perth based role. Working closely with an experienced project and site based team, you will ensure the proper QA support required for transition from execution, turnover, completions and commissioning is delivered in a flawless manner. Occasional travel to site, construction yards, vendors and repair workshops will also be a requirement of this assignment. This position is part of the downstream organization and the role will require strong communication, very diverse Quality Assurance and project execution experience. Demonstrated leadership in support of construction and completions requirements are essential in order to support the execution and planning of all verification activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Responsible for coordinating the repair facility QMS to include manuals, procedures, work instructions, forms and records needed to comply with Project Specification, Drawing, API and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinates Inspection activities throughout various stages of the assigned repair process.
- Takes lead and/or assists in facilitating external and internal communications with Project team (Engineering, Quality, Commissioning and Preservation inc site) and Supplier for Valve repairs
- Full understanding of product/standards compliance (API, ISO, Product Specifications, etc…)
- Responsible for ensuring effectiveness of product test/inspections (receiving, in-process, repair and final acceptance) and also to have Project Inspector attend for Hold / Witness points, monitoring processes, reviewing documentation and also MDR completeness.
- Ensure the Supplier implemented Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans as well as Project requirements, drawings, procedures and specifications.
- Attends meetings related to valve repairs and ensure all action items are closed.
- Review and verification of paperwork for correctness, accuracy and completeness.
- Follow the progress / Issue Weekly Report of off island repairs
- Propose and justify recommendations for improvement of the process

Special assignment as required: NCR verification/ follow up (using KIMS), MDR Review etc

Manage Project required QA services and verify the inspection of the project deliverables consistent with approved specifications, criticality assessments, contractual and regulatory obligations

Promote safety awareness and safe performance example among project team members and all contractor personnel. This would include participation in IIF training at site and fabrication yards.

Promote clear, accurate, timely and consistent communication with other organizations with respect to Global Project Quality expectations and objectives.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Candidate shall have a University degree in science or equal. Require 5-10 years in oil and gas. Ability to trouble shoot and do investigative analysis as required. The ability to train and mentor personnel in areas as assigned by line manager.

Comprehensive understanding of QA requirements for Suppliers/ Contractors (MDR) on Oil and Gas related construction projects
Good understanding of Inspection requirements associated with Oil and Gas related construction projects
Working knowledge of local & internal codes and standards related to Fabrication of Steel structures, Mechanical and Piping
Proactive approach to resolving Quality issues and effective communication & reporting skills.
Candidate shall be comfortable working in a team environment and shall displace confidence in representing the Client when interfacing with Suppliers / Contractors
