The Company:
Our client is an International Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Company with operations in 16 countries, they have achieved spectacular growth in the past ten years, growth which they expect to continue.

There Southern North Sea (North) facility comprises both on and offshore natural gas production and processing facilities. They include 18 offshore producing gas platforms off the east coast of Yorkshire.

The Role:
The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for providing advice and support (including coaching and
monitoring) to ensure the necessary quality assurance and control processes are in place and working
effectively to prevent financial and HSE risks being introduced to the business through the undertaking of
Integrity & FM Team activities, operational changes and the delivery of third party services.
In addition the individual will be responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of the I&FM
Team aspect of the Business Management System (BMS) and supporting other I&FM Team related
initiatives as a key member of the SNS I&FM Team.

Key Tasks

Harmonise, develop and maintain quality strategies and quality systems suitable to support the
Perenco Onshore and Offshore SNS Integrity & FM Team activity.

Facilitate continuous improvement in health, safety, environmental protection and loss prevention
performance in support of the team.

Faciltate compliance with all I&FM related regulatory requirements and with good practice.

Ensure a register of applicable codes and standards that the I&FM Team is required to comply
within the delivery of its normal activities exists and is maintained by the QSSHE QA/QC

Provide support to the I&FM team to be sure that quality risks are correctly assessed, identified
and managed. Such activities to include:

Development and auditing of Quality Plan, Quality Control Plan and Project Quality

Procedures which guarantee compliance with contractual requirements and ISO

Liaise with clients about quality matters

Assess the suitability of vendors and sub-contractors for individual scopes of work

Attendance and leadership of meetings, initiatives, etc.

Provide coaching and guidance to the various functional teams in I&FM SNS to ensure they are
demonstrating the right level of compliance and application with the Safety Management System;
Asset Integrity Management Strategy, Technical Integrity Management Strategy, etc

Take authorship and ownership of all I&FM Team lead documents & procedures both onshore and offshore; work closely with discipline team leads to ensure documents are harmonised and kept current. i.e. AIMS, TIMS, PIMS, SIMS, IPPPS, Inspection Body QMS, etc

Take authorship and ownership of all I&FM Team competency procedures for both onshore and offshore; work closely with I&FM Manager and discipline team leads to ensure competency records (i.e. PCAP, QMS, etc) are kept current and appropriate.

Review and approve contractors' quality documentation, and implement contractor audits as required and in accordance with the Perenco Procurement processes.

Where applicable for I&FM team activities interface with the Contracts team to ensure contracts have suitable provision for QA/QC. Provision of quality input to Invitations to Tender; attendance at Kick-Off / Pre-Inspection Meetings. Review of contractor / vendors quality plans and inspection and test plan to ensure adequate hold and witness points have been identified to ensure appropriate levels of control are being applied

Co-ordinate and assist the delivery of Integrity related audits, including development of audit scopes.

Provide guidance and coaching to the I&FM Team on quality issues.

Ensure that the I&FM Superintendent is kept informed about and, where appropriate, involved in the key issues and the manner in which they are being managed.

Work with the I&FM Superintendent to share, knowledge, experience and resources across other PUK assets.

Provide support (as required) to the wider PUK and Perenco Group business to improve I&FM standards, processes and systems.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
10 + years oil and gas QA/QC experience - Desirable

Minimum 5 years other relevant process industry experience

5 + years working within the UK oil and gas regulatory framework

Needs to be able handle complex problems/processes – both people and engineering – in a wide range of different areas

Good communication skills

Ability to communicate effectively on QA/QC issues to all levels of the organisation

Microsoft office proficiency

Familiarity and proficiency in standard desktop applications
