The Role:
KEY INFORMATION
Job Title: QA / QC Inspector

Location: Iraq Reporting To: QHSE Supervisor Iraq

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE
Performing Quality Control Activities for various Product lines

JOB SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education / Qualification:

o Secondary School Certificate with Industrial Training Institute certificate / Diploma in Mech. Engineering.

Experience:
o Minimum of 3 years’ experience in QC/as machinist.

Administrative / Other Skills:
o Good English: written & spoken. Hindi spoken knowledge is a must. Written is an additional plus.
o Understanding API 7-1/5CT/6A/16A product drawings and process documents.
o ISO quality management system will be an added advantage.

Job Description
Duties, Responsibilities & Key Tasks:

o Receiving inspection of raw materials, repair goods, outside processed material & bought out material.
o Product measurement/inspection and marking in process & final stages of manufacturing, & repairs as applicable.
o Assuring quality parameters are being met as per organizational/customer requirements at all stages of manufacture/repairs by continuous inspection at different stages.
o Maintaining the calibration status and calibration of measuring instruments, gauges, maintain records by continuous examination.
o Identification and maintaining inspection status for all API 7-1/5CT/6A/16A products or any other products.
o Identification of Non-conforming products/goods with information to QC/Production superiors and raising NCR
o Release of products after satisfactory inspection results as per route card / client Requirements /API requirement
o Maintaining records of product/process monitoring and inspection.
o Maintain log of welding inspections that are done.
o Inspect welds at the earliest moment the welding is completed and record inspection results
o Approve welded components which pass the requirements and are as per client quality standards.
o Identify the defective parts properly to prevent unintended use and inform welding/production supervisor for necessary measures as per client standard operating procedures.


Note: These requirements can be reduced where a potential employee agrees to meet these minimum requirements within a pre-determined period on commencement of employment.

HSEQ System Requirements:

Our client operates an Integrated Management System (IMS) at all operational facilities to meet their business, legal and moral HSEQ obligations. All personnel are required to work in full compliance with the requirements set out in the client Group IMS, this will include as a minimum.
o Ensuring that work is carried out in compliance with company Quality, Health Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
o Not undertaking any task for which authorization and/or training has not been given.
o Ensuring the highest standard of workmanship produced is in accordance with the company expectations and as per customer, regulatory standards and specification.
o Promoting good health, safety and environmental practices throughout all company activities.
o Wearing the assigned Personal Protective Equipment required.
o Taking care to prevent harm to themselves, colleagues and others and the environment that may be caused by our acts or omissions.
o Keeping the work area neat, organized & free of trip and other hazards.
o Reporting hazards in plant, equipment and other work place, or short comings in the existing controls, to a superior without delay.
o Supporting continual improvement of the integrated management system by expressing better and safer ways to perform tasks and improve policies and procedures.
o Participate in HSEQ training required to meet minimum identified for position undertaken
o Attending Toolbox Talks, HSEQ meetings and trainings as and when required.
