The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Inspector who has a detailed understanding of Instrumentation activities, to join our client working on their very latest LNG project. This position will be key to the successful construction and commissioning of the onshore gas facility based in Darwin.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

• Attend as the Company nominated representative for Instrument discipline witness and monitor intervention points on Site Construction ITPs,
• Continuously monitor and where required carry out joint surveillance inspection with the Contractor’s on site QC Counterparts,
• Produce formal reports of inspection carried out on the construction site,
• Review associated inspection records for completeness and accuracy,
• Monitor Subcontractor’s manufacturing processes (including technicians and inspector qualifications, Contractor’s inspector input, implementation of agreed procedures and construction drawings, implementation of testing etc),
• Oversee E&I hazardous area installations and inspections,
• Monitor and ensure Contractor raises NCRs as and when non-conformances are detected,
• Investigate the root cause of any NCR’s raised and report outcome to the Deputy Quality Manager and Lead Quality Engineer,
• Periodic checks of Equipment Calibrations,
• Periodically check equipment storage and preservation,
• Ensure discipline records are included for handover, including MDRs, and
• Assist in company MDR reviews.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this role you will BE TERTIARY QUALIFIED and have demonstrated knowledge and experience in the following:

• NT Licensed Electrician
• AS4761.1 Hazardous Area Certified Inspector
• AS 3000 & AS 60079 (set) Code experience
• Recognised Qualifications in Instrumentation
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Instrument inspection for major oil and gas module projects,
• Experience in working as an inspector for the client team, and
• Ability to prepare concise, legible reports of activities conducted.
