The Company:
Leading integrated energy company. A major player in exploration and production, power generation & trading they use their strong brands and distinctive assets and capabilities to achieve success in their chosen markets.
This role is working for the renewables division on windfarm projects.

The Role:
Duties:
Support the OIM and HSE advisor to maintain the highest HSE standards and procedure compliance.
Carry out welding and fabrication quality inspections onshore and offshore in accordance with the project specifications.
Monitor and report compliance with contractor project procedures and RAMS.
Review contractor procedures and RAMS for compliance with project and CREL specifications and procedures.
Assist in review and approval of updated RAMS during the installation phase.
Attend quality audits at the fabricators and service providers facilities onshore as required.
Attend project meetings in Windsor and other locations if required.
Maintain a daily QA/QC diary for the project.
Review and agree documentation packages as prepared and issued by the contractors.
Assist in the review and agreement of quality pack progress and production progress reporting.
Contribute to the review of ITP requirements prior to agreement, and then maintain active monitoring and management of the ITP and our client's obligations within it.

The role will require the candidate to spend extended periods in Grimsby, Teesside and Windsor during the plan and pre phase (to end April 2012) with additional visits as required to other contractors facilities.

During the installation phase from May to August the candidate will be expected to reside offshore on the accommodation vessel for extended periods working day shift or nightshift as required, and may from time to time be required to act as the Client point of contact in the absence of the OIM.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a strong fabrication background with quality inspection experience and be able to review documents and represent CREL on quality issues in meetings.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
CSWIPP 3.1 qualification preferred.
ENG1 medical.
Courses required:
3 day first aid.
Offshore survival (one day).
Work at height and rescue.
Confined space awareness.
