The Role:


Educational Background / Qualifications:

Must have an Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. Must have an in depth understanding of International Codes and Standards such as, AWS, NSI, ASME, BS, ASTM, API, GOST, SNIP, ISO 9001, etc. related to the discipline required. In addition, must be familiar with the following, IEC, ISA, IP and NFPA. Desirable but not a must to have registration(s) and/or certification(s) with RoK agency(ies).


Candidates must have a minimum of 8-10 years experience, in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industries and Infrastructure Projects. Experience working with western engineering and design international companies and/or organizations is a plus. Worked on numerous small to medium size projects is preferable. Experience inspecting and auditing projects is required. Field coordination with TCO Engineers, Construction Representatives and construction contractors. Engineering & design experience a plus.

Position Description:

Provide Infrastructure and Facility camps/compounds discipline engineering providing engineering, drafting, design and project discipline engineering to support Infrastructure and Facilities Management Project Group with small Capital Construction and Maintenance programs. This includes responsibility for work on a wide variety of facilities including:

Storage and shipment
Power Generation & Distribution.
Heating Centers (Boilers and Boiler Houses)
Water Treatment
Waste Water Treatment
Gas, water lines and plumbing systems
Rail loading facilities
General infrastructure such as warehousing and camp & offices facilities

Essential Position Functions:

a. Development welding work inspection plans
b. Perform visual inspection of welding joints
c. Inspection of welding activities control according to agreed WPS, control of pipe connection assembling, control of necessary tests by line qualification
d. Inspection for electrical, mechanical, piping, structural, civil material. Control of material traceability
e. Witness hydrostatic & pneumatic tests and complete documentation
f. Blasting, coating, and painting. Perform thickness measurements, Holiday test, Adhesive test
g. Monitor and inspect insulating activities
h. QA of welding database, control of percentage barrier, rejection rates
i. Monitor of above ground and underground welding operations
j. Review As-Built drawings and perform Completion activities
k. Inspection of structural welding
l. Inspect building work production control, reinstate mounting, concrete pouring and construction activities
m. Service test control for drainage system
n. Hydrostatic test and NDT / NDE control
o. Material control
p. Documentation recording
q. Inspection of equipment, parts during and after installation.

Special Skills / Requirements:

Mechanical: Must have understanding of typical process and plant engineering deliverables such as P&ID’s, piping general arrangements, isometrics, equipment, electrical/instrumentation and civil drawings, etc. Experience in QA/QC activities and ISO 9001 auditing.

Civil / Structural: Must have understanding of typical infrastructure and facilities engineering deliverables such as steelwork and foundation drawings and inspection requirements. Must have sound knowledge of construction materials.

Must have good communication skills in English and Russian and be able to function in a multicultural environment.
