The Company:
A major Oil & Gas operator with extensive projects in the Caspian Region.

The Role:
A major construction project of a new port facility in the Caspian requires 2 project quality engineers to work with local contractors.

• Monitor all aspects of Quality Control relative to port facility during the construction, to ensure adherence to the company technical requirements and applicable codes including SID (Safety in Design).
• Attend and witness testing associated with equipment and systems (dredging, civil, electrical)
• Monitoring of procedures and qualification testing. Verifying dimensions, certifications, material certification and traceability for all materials, and consumables.
• Assure contractor compliance with the approved program and review reports.
• Verify that all testing procedures have been approved and are on site. Confirm testing parameters are duly recorded and that testing equipment is calibrated.
• Review procedures for testing/examining components with the optimal method and techniques.
• Review and approve contractor work for all construction for quality and adherence to design requirements.
• Attend and witness testing associated with equipment and systems
• Ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed out.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree or Higher Education essential

• Minimum of eight (8) years experience in the specified inspection discipline and a minimum of three (3) years of construction activities in the contract's scope of work e.g. port facility project.
• Fully conversant with applicable industry standards and specifications; and shall perform a variety of inspection functions with minimal supervision
• Able to read, interpret and communicate (both written and verbally) in English.
• Knowledge of job specified equipment including, but not limited to, the following equipment: pumps, motors, skids, valves, compressors, fired heaters, auxiliary equipment, packaged equipment piping systems, vessels and tanks.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Previous Caspian experience
• Previous experience of major construction projects, Civil & Structural
• experience of dredging, piles, roads, docks or lifting equipment
