The Role:
Responsabilities :
• under the authority of the Project Director Surface, the Quality Manager is responsible for the implementation and validation of the Management System for the project, so as to ensure that project activities are conducted in manner compliant with Client rules and project requirements;
• prepares the project QA manual, proposes the project specific Quality objectives, writes the Project Quality procedures, and is in charge of maintaining and updating the Project QA System, including audits;
• reviews, comments and approves the contractors Quality Control Plans.
• Control and Guide Project Quality Control team and conduct QA/QC project audit program;
• encourages use of latest improvements in project management.
• prepares and implements the project inspection strategy to cover all project phases;
• provides and co-ordinates the supervision/inspection resources needed within the Project, at engineering offices, vendors premises, and at Site;
• Be responsible for all Inspection management, administration, coordination and delegation activities.
• Attendance at pre and post award clarification meetings to clarify any matters in regard to quality inspection involvement.
• Production of inspection assignment instructions and packages to inspectors.
• Managing and supporting field inspectors.
• Ensure the Quality Assurance & Control processes and standards are planned, measured and delivered in line with the project.
• Organize third-party inspections as required;
• Additional advantage to have previous experience & role of such position with one of the international EPC contractor.

HSE :
The Quality Manager will respect all aspects of the Projects HSE Plan and Code of Conduct pertaining to his work activities. As for all individuals working on the Project, a pro-active approach to HSE and Ethics is expected.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Member of the Chartered Quality Institute
- Certified Lead Auditor
- Working knowledge of ISO9001:2008
Education: University Degree, Chartered Engineer preferred
Experience: 15 to 20 years experience in project and quality management systems management
Languages: Ability to work in English and French
