The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
Position Summary:
- The purpose of this role is to develop, implement and maintain the Quality Assurance and Quality Control strategy, documentation and procedures within the group.
- The incumbent will also be functionally responsible to set up and manage the QA/QC teams across the full project cycle.
- They will also be required to implement, monitor and report on the Project Quality System, throughout all aspects of the Pipelines Project.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for managing all aspects of the quality assurance and internal audit associated with the project activities for the development
• Ensuring, as the owner representative, that the requirements of the Project Quality System are established, implemented and maintained
• Establish and maintain the quality plan and quality assurance related procedures for the Midstream Construction scope.
• Carrying out internal and external quality audits
• Developing the internal instructions for and participating in the selection of Quality System requirements for Suppliers
• Establish an audit schedule to demonstrate compliance from both the company's and various contractors. Appraisal audits, of suppliers and contractor’s Quality Systems
• Provide expert advice to other departments within the company on quality provisions within contract documentation, and subsequent management of contracts
• Assist with preparing the annual work programme and budget for QA/QC in accordance with the annual budgeting cycle and to control expenditures in accordance with the annual budget, consistent with the overall budget and schedule
• Prepare timely reports on activities and other support documentation as required
• Provide information, advice and training on project QA/QC requirements
• Review supplier document submissions
• Review construction quality plans and associated documents

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Technical Knowledge: Substantial experience in engineering major projects, of which significant period should be operating in a senior QC role
• Expert in setting up/preparing QA/QC Systems, procedures, manuals
• Oil & gas industry; EPC projects experience would be a significant advantage and having seen projects through the full cycle including Handover to Operations
• Organisation Processes: Proven ability to audit, coach, supervise, manage and develop team members
• Compliance: Understanding of Local/National and International Standard and Codes.
- Familiar with possess working knowledge of ISO9001:2008 and the process based approach to quality management
• Quality Management: Clear understanding of accountability and ability to direct contractors or employees to align with company QA performance expectations

Knowledge, Languages, Skills and Attributes:
• Conversant with NDE techniques such as TOFD, PHASED ARRAY, UT
