The Company:
a Construction and Trading Company is seeking a QA/ QC Manager

The Role:
Provide Quality Assurance Management functions in line with the general requirements of ISO 9001:2008 5.5.2 (Management representative) on behalf of the project
Ensure that the Client requirements which are agreed in the contract are fully communicated to the project organization and are met,
Empowered by the Project Manager to stop any work which is not complying with and/or likely not to comply with the requirements,
Communication and coordination with the Client and other stakeholder counterparts,
Direct and manage the Sub Contractor Package Quality Engineers and Teams,
Ensure that the statutory and regulatory requirements are fully complied with,
Consultation with the Project Manager will establish project level Quality objectives and targets in line with corporate policy and objectives,
Ensure that the QA/QC resources are sufficient to effectively implement the Quality Management System on the work packages,
Coordinate Quality Management Meetings committees and ensure that records are prepared and distributed,
Develop training plans for all levels of staff, Supply Partners and other interested parties,
Generate reports as required for the project and for Corporate HO (Civil Q-HSE Team)
Coordinate with the procurement divisions, in regard to Supply Partner monitoring and surveillance and be responsible for the effective coordination and management of such,
Coordinate closely with the Engineering Manager, Procurement and Construction Management Teams and support,
Develop the audit strategy and schedules and carry out regular internal/external audits. Also responsible to invite Client to attend the audits and will submit the audit reports to Client,
Coordinate project management reviews,
Explore opportunities for system and product improvement and develop strategies for implementation,
Carryout trend analysis in regard to all relevant data,
Review and approve supplier quality plans and other documentation,
Ensure that all special procedures and plans such as the welding procedure specifications, qualifications, concrete design mixes and the like are approved by an approved third party prior to submission to Client,
Review and accept manufacturer’s data reports (MDR),
Ensure that the Inspection release certificate (IRC) is issued to the Supply Partners before any deliveries to site.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum 15 years at High Level (Corporate/major projects) Quality Management Level EPC/Principle Contractor/large contractor
Managed projects through EPC complete cycle
Must be able to communicate well at all levels
Lead large teams of QA/QC Engineers
Demonstrable Mining, heavy civil, plant experience
Able to demonstrate excellent track record and provide suitable references
Civil & Mechanical engineering background
Experience in off shore manufacture (China, Thailand, Indonesia etc)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Fluency in English is must. Excellent communication and written skills
Knowledge of Korean and/or Indonesian would be a great plus
