The Company:
Our client seeks a QA/QC Piping consultant to join their team in Corpus Christi, Texas!

The Role:
Description:
• Responsible for construction inspection of piping and pressure vessel systems for onshore petrochemical production systems.
• Independently perform internal and external inspection examinations at scheduled intervals and in accordance with company procedures, specifications and API standards.
• Witness the tests, controls and inspections carried out by contractors
• Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection & Test Plans
• Report all inspection examination results and record and maintain data records.
• Work with project and welding team leadership to resolve discrepancies and/or non-conformances in piping and pressure vessel system conditions.
• Conducting all activities in a safe, secure, healthy and efficient manner in accordance with the Company's policies, standards, practices, procedures, and to legal regulations. Ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times.
• Candidate should be detail oriented and be capable of recommending and approving piping and pressure vessel repairs as well as performing visual inspection of completed work.
• Candidate must be capable of climbing, working at high elevations, and working in confined spaces.
• Properly uses and completes company job related forms and paperwork.
• Communicates and deals with the company and other parties in such a manner as to benefit the professional reputation of the company. This communication is in person at the asset level and also in the office setting.
• Learns and abides by Company policies and procedures.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Requirements / Desired Skills:
• American Petroleum Institute (API) Standard API-510 Inspector certification required
• Associates /2 yr Degree required
• Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
• Minimum of five years relevant piping and pressure vessel inspection experience
• Relevant inspection experience shall demonstrate knowledge of codes and standards applicable to pressure piping and pressure vessel systems, including relevant API, ASME, and other standards and inspection requirements.
• Must be fluent in English
