The Company:
My client is a UK leading Industrial Service supplier. With a wealth of knowledge in delivering solutions to key areas that really matter to there clients'. This has reflected in the growth and rise in stature of my client's business. With a estimated turnover of £120 million per year from £30 million per year where it was 5 years ago.

The Role:
Safety :-
• To actively promote and encourage a positive safety, health and environmental culture within Bilfinger Industrial Services and client representatives.
• Ensure all incidents, accidents and near missed are reported and follow-up actions completed

Quality / Inspection :-
• To assist in development of Quality Plan highlighting hold, witness and test points and manage during fabrication
• Review isometric drawings & select appropriate weld procedures, ensure welder approvals are maintained & up to date
• Ensure fabrication specification and weld procedures are adhered to and that the correct consumables are used
• Select correct consumable certification
• Maintain shop / site weld map and mark up relevant drawings
• Maintain up to date welding & inspection records
• Liaise with client to ensure that the correct method of non-destructive testing is carried out
• To highlight any welder whose repair rate is too high
• Maintain database of project welders by material type, welding process and thickness range
• Carry out and record visual weld inspections of weld preps, joint ‘set-ups’, final welds and ensure correct testing carried out at the relevant stages
• Identification, marking up and Co-ordination of NDE, Pre / PWHT and machining in workshop
• Completion and forwarding of company requests for NDE, Pre / PWHT and machining
• Ensure if required that the seven days statutory notice be given for the use of radioactive equipment within workshop
• Check & sign-off of dimensional accuracy of completed fabrications
• Ensure inspection release certificate is completed for each isometric to accompany delivery paperwork to client
• Provide advice and write out methodology / technique, timings… for weld repairs
• Collate test packs , witness and sign off hydrotests of spools in workshop
• Liaise with 3rd party inspection teams
• View radiographs & NDE reports
• Maintain and file reports and surveys
• Production of QA packs by isometric number
• To collate all information for Q.A packs and hand-over documentation to client by transmittal
• If required write new weld procedures

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• 10 years minimum experience in Petro-Chem Industry with fabrication and welding
CSWIP Welding Inspection Certification 3.1minimum ( CSWIP 3.2 desirable )
• CSWIP Radiography Interpretation (light & dense materials)
