The Company:
Our client is a major operator in the Oil & Gas industry.

The Role:
• Responsible for the local quality management activities associated with assigned suppliers on behalf of the Quality Management Team
• Accountable for working with assigned suppliers to develop and implement supplier improvement activities and for reporting progress to GSH Umbilical Quality Lead
• Scheduling and mobilizing through the Houston Field Services coordinator all Third Party Inspection personnel, located at assigned supplier’s locations, ensuring consistent and timely implementation of quality inspection requirements.
• Develop and implement a risk based auditing program
• Support the GSH Delivery Teams in quality related activities
• Interface regularly with the project quality management teams providing regular updates on quality related issues with the project’s hardware deliveries
• Review and approve quality documentation
• Interface with and report to Umbilicals Quality Lead for ongoing supplier performance
• Coordinate with Umbilicals Quality Lead to ensure learnings are embedded in standard documents and processes
• Resolve quality issues, interfacing with appropriate quality personnel
• Ensure Non-conformances are properly categorized and dispositioned in a timely manner
• Ensure ITPs are fully documented and implemented
• Participate in Non-conformance Incident Root Cause Analyses
• Champion implementation of SQM (Supplier Quality Management) processes, including ESQ (quality database) and the AVL (approved vendor list).
• Ensure corrective action activities are correctly completed and effectively implemented.
• Champion quality improvement within supplier and sub-supplier manufacturing locations

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Proven experience in quality assurance within the oil industry, with at least 5 of these related to subsea equipment (subsea controls and/or umbilicals).
• Training in various quality programs, such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, etc. (Certification not required, but desirable)
• Experience working with a subsea equipment supplier in quality assurance or a technical field is strongly desired.
• Hydraulic, Control Process, Welding and NDT inspection experience strongly desired.
• Interpersonal, communication and business skills appropriate to working in a Supplier environment acting as first point of contact for day to day problem solving and inspections; ability to communicate with shop inspectors, the operator and Supplier’s engineers, technical specialists and quality engineers.
