The Company:
Our client, a major oil and gas operator, is seeking a QAQC Coordinator for one of their projects.

The Role:
• Coordinate and actively lead construction activities
• Provide construction expertise input into pre-FEED, VIP (i.e. Constructability) and Safety activities (i.e. iHAZID)
• Assist with the development of the Construction Management, Quality Management, and Systems Completion Plans as part of the PEP
• Actively lead inspection activities and Quality Control inspectors
• Actively lead the selection process for inspectors Supervise and coordinate the implementation of a site specific QMS
• Generate PMT operational procedures for the project and provide feedback to the PMT on lessons learned.
• Provide continuous assurance oversight at the construction Work Site(s) to verify the work is compliant with the requirements
• Develop and maintain Project Procedures to support the PQP.
• Shall have a working knowledge of fabrication techniques, applicable codes and standards, QA/QC requirements, word processing skills, experience in document control, records management and filing systems is required.
• The Person holding this position must have the ability to work long hours, weekends and meet strict time constraints as required. Good working relationship with the contractors QA/QC department will be an ongoing key job responsibility for this position.
• Shall implement and administer non-conformance, control, preventative and corrective actions, and continuously improve the QMS and monitor fabrication through the Construction Superintendant and Inspectors.
• As needed this position will establish Quality matrices for critical activities, monitor trends and provide recommendations for improvement and follow up on complex technical information and be to communicate those thoughts in English through both written and verbal reporting.
• Must be able to scale QA/QC documentation requirements to appropriate size for project. Some experience with large databases is appropriate, however smaller projects can be tracked with basic Microsoft products.
• Develop and implement QA/QC systems for Platform Quality Management during Execution Phase
• Assist with development of the project Platform ITT documents including authoring/reviewing critical documents including scope of Work, specifications etc relating to QA and QC requirements
• Review design and provide input to the Engineered Equipment RFQ evaluation and award recommendations.
• Ensure QAQC requirements are met by FEED engineering Deliverables.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
University degree in engineering or equivalent with a minimum of eight (8) years QA/QC experience or a high school diploma with a minimum of ten (10) years experience in construction QA/QC.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• AWS CWI, CSWIP SWI or approved equivalent certifications.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience directly related to field supervision of construction activities in the contract's scope of work e.g. oil, gas and/or petrochemical projects
• Able to read, interpret and communicate (both written and verbally) in English.
