The Role:
Our client is currently recruiting for QC Inspector to work in their Maidenhead office.

To perform quality control checks in line with current documentation, purchase order and build/test requirements.
Perform inspection and approval activities of incoming materials including documentation and certifications.
Ensure all relevant ISO standards are maintained in accordance with company policy
To carry out any other requirements needed to allow the company to operate efficiently.

Accountabilities:

Perform all inspection activities relevant to the needs of the business in an efficient, effective and accurate manner.
Ensure compliance is maintained with respect to ISO standards and the companies QMS objectives.
Support team lead inspector in related activities.
Contribute to the achievement of predefined production standards through the use of specialized inspection equipment.
Advise more senior team members when non-complying items or jobs need to be returned/reworked/removed and isolated in order to prevent inappropriate use.
Perform routinely scheduled analysis to monitor standards and suggest potential improvement opportunities.
Plan and organise own workload to ensure delegated responsibilities are finalised in accordance with specifications, time and quality.
Provide Support to senior staff with Quality improvement initiatives as and when required.

Important tasks within the role:

Provide day to day QC support for product assembly operations
Take responsibility for ensuring right 1st time products are consistently produced in line with company requirements
Provide proactive support for all QC related problems and ensure root cause issues are identified and resolved
Ensure ALL documentation relevant to the product assembly process is followed and correctly completed prior to final release.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Electro-mechanical inspection background - Essential
• Good understanding of “In-Process Quality” - Essential
• Able to work under pressure – Must
• Intuitive and eye for detail – Must
• Flexible - Must
• Appreciation of QHSE principles – Must

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Internal QMS auditor - Beneficial
• Welding inspection (visual) - Beneficial
• Quality Tools knowledge e.g. PFMEA, 6S, RCA, 8D – Desirable
