The Role:
The service holder is responsible, within the FPSO team and under the Shipyard Company Site Representative’s supervision, for following-up, monitoring and supervising QA & QC (the discipline) activities carried out by FPSO Contractor and Subcontractor at the main Shipyard Construction site during the Construction, Precommissioning and Commissioning phases, ensuring that his discipline’s contractual and technical requirements are duly applied by FPSO Contractor and/or Subcontractors.

In this respect, and to ascertain that the facilities are built as per the project requirements, the job holder verify and approve Contractor’s and/or Subcontractors’ drawings, fabrication procedures and methodologies, and ensure that Contractor and/or Subcontractors have adequate equipment, resources, means and manpower to performed the service with the required quality level and to compete it in due time.

He reports on a day-to-day basis directly to the Shipyard CSR. The service holder is also in continuous liaison with and reports to the FPSO QA/QC Leader, enforcing decisions/directions taken at FPSO Management level.

The service holder may have to lead several Yard Supervisors (NDT and welding supervisors) and, as such, is acting as a team leader, informing and motivating them adequately and giving them clear priorities/directions for the performance of their duties. He also provides them support and assistance in their organisation, job scheduling and coordination with other disciplines to ensure quality and timely completion of their work and implementation of Corporate / Project QA/QC Management System.

The service holder organises and participates to routine and random inspections and audits, assists to daily / regular Construction meetings related to his discipline with FPSO Contractor and/or Subcontractors, performs QA/QC and/or HSE visits and tours... and ensures an adequate reporting to the Shipyard Company Site Representative (areas of concerns, problems encountered in its discipline during construction and implementation both by its Shipyard Construction team and FPSO Contractor and/or Subcontractors).

The service holder participates together with his supervision team and the FPSO QA/QC Leader to the review and comments of FPSO Contractor’s and/or Subcontractors’ Project Site documentation applicable in the perimeter of the relevant Shipyard Construction site (Project Site QA/QC plan, Construction plans, fabrication drawings …) and ensures their full implementation by FPSO Contractor and/or Subcontractors.

As a general manner, the service holder provides assistance to the Shipyard Construction team with all matters related to his discipline and organise its pre-commissioning activities in close coordination with the commissioning team.

The service holder is also accountable for demonstrating, individually, an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE rules & requirements.

The service holder may perform his missions toward the end of the EPSCC contract, and may also have to be involved in his activities during FPSO hook-up, installation and offshore commissioning phases

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Professional Experience (years): min 10 years Experience in QA QC activities
Experience in similar position (years): mini 7 in similar role
Level / Diploma: Engineer, or equivalent (with PCN/ COFREND, CSWIP or equivalent qualification)
