The Role:

Be the Company focal point in the project for all QC matters related to qualification of procedures and personnel, inspections, and tests to ensure the quality of all procured materials, prefabrication including welding and site installations meet the specified requirements.
Lead by example and ensure that Detnor HSE&Q policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to in all phases of the work.
Ensure the implementation of site Safety Management System; deliver on pre-agreed site and project HSE&Q targets for Company and Contractor staff.
Participate in HSE related activities - Tool Box Meetings, Site HSE walks / inspections.
Ensure that the project QC team is adequately manned with qualified resources to ensure timely execution of the scope of work.
Responsible for developing a well performing multidiscipline team, motivated for the task.
Liaise with Construction Supervisors and coordinate a team of discipline QC inspectors
Ensure all QC activities such as verifications, inspections and tests are performed in a safe manner.
Participate in planning and coordination of Company QC activities for procured equipment from preparation of ITP to final inspection at Suppliers works.
Plan and coordinate all Company QC activities at construction site.
Liaise and cooperate with the Procurement, Engineering, Construction and Commissioning Managers and their teams.
Produce a weekly summary report of tasks performed, status of Non Conformities, Punch Items, Site Observation Reports and any other areas of concern.
Produce weekly status report on QC KPI’s, suggest mitigating actions if trends of non-conformances are identified.
Coordinate and ensure timely processing and closure of Non Conformities, Punch Items and Site Observation Reports.
Establish, collect and maintain records to provide evidence of conformity to requirements,
Conduct or participate in Audits & Verifications at EPC contractor and suppliers.
Coordinate and ensure all surveillance duties are performed as instructed by the Construction and Completion Manager.
Ensure EPC contractor’s workforce is qualified and adequate through assessment of proposed sub-contractors. Assist in induction and training as required.
Provide input into Construction weekly and monthly reports.
Provide input to Project Risk Register and participate in the risk management process
Participate in the development and implementation of Site QC Management Systems
Monitor prospective technical changes within the contract and verify authenticity of contractor requests for change orders. Responsible for QC and verification of all on site contractor change requests and claims related to Quality Control.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum 15 years within the Quality Control Organization and extensive relevant Quality Control management experience
Min five years working experience working with South East Asian Contractors
Preferred working knowledge with Norwegian offshore engineering & construction codes and standards
Extensive knowledge of relevant Quality management principles and processes, including the 9000 series of standards
Fluent in English, verbal and written
Proficient in the use of IT applications such as Microsoft Office etc.
Regulatory competence for the petroleum industry
