The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
This role is part of the Downstream Quality Assurance/ Quality Control Team. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, possess good communication skills and have proven leadership, teamwork and technical mechanical experience. Comprehensive computer skills are essential as a high level of technical report writing will be required. In addition you will hold internationally recognised coating inspection qualifications, (NACE Level 3, ACA, BGAS).

Key Job Responsibilities

60% 
Routine surveillance of all insulation activities, particularly acoustic and cryogenic
Maintain insulation standard with oversight.
Inspection of insulation works in progress to ensure compliance with project specified requirements.
Ensure effective implementation of ITPs & FIC’s (or ITR) by the Contractor and Client attendance at Witness and Hold points.
Regular review of Quality records (FIC or ITR)
Ensure MDR compilation in accordance with approved MDR Index.

30% 
Routine Surveillance of Coating activities – maintain Surveillance program
Maintain coatings standards with oversight
Inspection of coating works in progress to ensure compliance with project specified requirements.
Ensure effective implementation of ITPs & FIC’s (or ITR) by the Contractor and Client attendance at Witness and Hold points.
Regular review of Quality records (FIC or ITR)
Ensure MDR compilation in accordance with approved MDR Index

10%
Promote safety awareness (Incident Injury Free) and safe performance example at site, fabrication yards, subcontractors and vendor shops participation in IIF.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Prefer internationally recognized coating inspection qualifications, (NACE Level 3, ACA, BGAS).
Minimum 10 years hands on experience as Insulation and Coating Inspector on major construction projects
Oil and Gas Experience in cryogenic insulation.
Good understanding of QA/QC requirements for final documentation on oil & gas related construction projects.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Proactive approach to resolving quality issues.
Basic computing skills and working knowledge of MS Office Word/Excel.
Formal safety training.
Effective communication and reporting skills.
Previous experience of working on LNG projects.
Candidate shall display confidence in representing the Client when interfacing with Contractors.
