The Role:
Fircroft are seeking an E & I Inspector for a long term contract within Italy

Location: Fabrication Yard, Italy
Duration: 3 Years’ (12 month rolling contract)
Type of contract: Residential (working Mon – Fri)
Day Rate: Negotiable
Accommodation, flights & Transport: Provided

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support all HES Activities / Initiatives
Observe for unsafe acts / unsafe conditions and raise observation cards.
Participate in Behavioural Based Safety (BBS).
Fully support and participate in all Injury and Incident Free (IIF) initiatives through reaching out and communicating with Contractors Staff and trades personnel.
Compliance with Ethics policies.
Adheres to Project Execution Procedures.
Verification and monitoring of contractor and sub-contractors quality control activities for electrical and instrumentation installation and assembly
Verify compliance to Project Quality Plan, specifications and standards
Monitor progress of all quality, inspection and testing activities against contractor and sub-contractor ITP’s
Monitor process controls for all electrical installation, assembly and testing activities
Provide direct interfaces and inputs with Contractor electrical and instrumentation installation personnel
Ensure all QC procedures and process controls are being implemented within all areas of the module site and project
Provide technical competence and quality/inspection verification of work conformance to Project requirements
Liaise with client, RA and the Contractor to coordinate ITP activities in accordance with documented and planned requirements
Review and verify manufacturing records for accuracy, including electrical and instrumentation inspection and testing
Monitor implementation of company, project and sub-contract HSE policies and procedures
Monitor progress and electrical and instrumentation installation of all equipment, module installation, inspection and testing activities
Provide weekly, fortnightly progress reports to the fabrication team
Contribute inputs into the QC Module Team
Also a minimum of three (3) years directly relating to electrical and Instrumentation installation and assembly activities.
Working knowledge of site electrical and instrumentation installation including knowledge of the National Electric Code/NFPA 70, IEC or equivalent standards and international codes and standard related to Intrinsically safe systems and electrical systems for instrumentation such as, ISA RP12.6, ISA RP12.2.02, ISA TR12, ANSI MC96.1, IEEE518, IEEE1100, IEC 60529, NEMA ICS 6, NEMA 250, NEMA VE 1, NFPA 70/NEC and UL 94.
Familiar with all aspects of electrical inspection and testing including loop checks, wiring continuity, start up, pressure/temperature/level/flow instrumentation. Gauge boards, junction boxes, control panels, schematics, wiring diagrams and package/module function testing.
Familiar with all aspects of instrument inspection and testing including evaluation of Factory Acceptance Test results and demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of international codes and standards related to packaged units instrumentation such as, Distributed Control System (DCS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems, Remote Terminal Unit and Emergency Shutdown (ESD) systems
Ability to read PFD’s, P&ID’s and associated engineering drawings
Tertiary/trade qualifications in a related discipline.
Other duties as required.

Fabrication Delivery Team
Fabrication Security
Project Administration, IT, Training and Travel management
Contractors (accommodation, ground transportation, and overall destination services providers)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
REQUIRED (Example: BS in Civil/Structural Engineering required; Proficient in ETAP or SKM software required)
Degree / Diploma (completed post-secondary or higher education) - this can be substitute with relevant operational experience
Inspectors shall demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of the National Electric Code/NFPA 70, IEC or equivalent standards.
Inspectors shall be familiar with the international industry codes and standards related to Intrinsically safe systems and electrical systems for instrumentation such as; ISA RP12.6, ISA RP12.2.02, ISA TR12., ANSI MC96.1, IEEE 518, IEEE 1100, IEC 60529, NEMA ICS 6, NEMA 250, NEMA VE 1, NEMA VE 2, NFPA 70/NEC and UL 94.
Inspectors shall also have working knowledge of electrical installations including materials, methods, specifications, and hazardous location identification for oil and gas or petrochemical industries.
