The Role:
This position is within the Quality team. The Quality Engineer will interface with the Main Automation Contractor (MAC). This position is responsible for monitoring of MAC supply chain.
Detailed Responsibilities:

Ensure project plans and procedures are developed in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Ensure effective implementation and co-ordination of vendor assessment and inspection activities.
Monitor all aspects of Quality Control during the fabrication, to ensure adherence to the company technical requirements and applicable codes, including safety-in-design
· Attend and witness testing including but not limited to material receipt, welding, NDE, dimensional control, final inspection etc.
· Ensures compliance with governing standards, approved drawings and approved Inspection and Test Plan, ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed out. Ensure effective implementation of non-conformance, corrective action, preventive action and root cause analysis processes.
· The QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring that the safe execution of the equipment manufacture/fabrication conforms with the project plans and procedures.
· The QC Inspector must ensure that the equipment manufacture/fabrication within his/her control is safe, cost-effective, constructible and timely.
· The QC Inspector must be able to develop a working knowledge of the project specifications, as well as the referenced industry standards, to apply in the manufacturing/fabrication shops
· The QC Inspector shall follow up on any outstanding or punch list items or concerns as related to their discipline and area assigned and provide timely responses to requests from project team members.
· Coordinate with QC/QA personnel and ensure that every aspects of inspection is completed prior to commencement of the next stage of manufacture/fabrication.
· Monitor the packing, transport and shipment/freight works of the completed equipment.
· Well versed in QA/QC and HSE requirements, ISO standards, Release Certificates.
· Timely submission of Inspection Reports and report to Management of any problem resulting from the inspection and to propose proper corrective action.
Competencies/ Experience/ Qualifications:

This position requires a degree or equivalent in an Engineering discipline from an accredited academic institution and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Quality Assurance/Control.
• Demonstrated skills with both written and oral communications in English to articulate complex situations
• Ability to use office automation products including Microsoft Office tools
• Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and complete multiple activities over a broad range of activities
• Selected individuals shall have demonstrated capabilities in planning Inspections, Examinations, Tests and in evaluating the validity and acceptability of Inspection, Test results.
The candidate needs to possess strong computer skills and should demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills. Have the ability to work independently with minimal guidance. Manages time to meet objectives and recognizes possible impact on related functions. Contributes to achievement of team goals and promotes teamwork.
