The Role:
Carry out inspection and testing requirements (in accordance with specification / regulatory requirements) Acceptance of verification requirements Key Plans and project specific process approved & available. Accuracy, completeness & control of documentation. Prime responsibilities and deliverables
Receive inspection assignments, check they are complete and formally acknowledge receipt. If incomplete request the additional information from the Quality Manager.
Perform the inspection or verification tasks listed in the inspection assignment and inspection and test plan.
Document inspection and testing activities in inspection reports to the Quality Manager.
Notify the Project Quality Coordinator directly of critical non-conformances to facilitate earliest resolution.
Record non-conformances on non-conformance reports and follow through the proposal of corrective action and subsequent close-out with the nonconforming organisation.
Review and collect quality records in good order and forward to the Quality Manager.
For surveillance inspection of vendors and subcontractors, attend their quality audits as an observer where agreed with the vendor or subcontractor, and attend audits by the Company.
Issue inspection release certificates for satisfactory goods inspected at source.
For receiving inspection, sign off goods received reports once checked.
Work Pack development, implementation and closeout.
Ensure all documentation is reviewed prior to handover to the client.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential: CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 Welding Inspectors Certificate, 2+ years experience in the Oil and gas Industry in an equivalent role.
Experience with technical drawings and Dimensional checking.
Desirable: Coating Inspectors qualifications, preferably NACE Level II.
Offshore experience with relevant offshore tickets

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Welding Inspection, Damage Inspection and Reporting and Dimensional Checking.

Must be knowledgeable in quality standards and procedures and be able to demonstrate an understanding and commitment to the principles of quality assurance.
Experience in inspection and testing activities in the engineering and construction industry.
