The Role:
Only candidates who already have the rights to work in Azerbaijan will be considered for this role

General
• Site management and reporting of Contractor’s coating plant upgrade programme
• Monitor Contractor’s activities during Procedure Qualification Trials (PQT), all phases of pipe coating production, testing, pipe handling and storage operations
• Monitor and assist with Multi-Layer Polypropylene (MLPP) scope during pre-production trials (PPT), PQT and pipe coating activities.
• Assist the site manager as required to provide daily reports/updates identifying status of work quality, safety, team behaviour, areas of concern and suggestions for improvement.
• Monitor the Contractor’s QC systems for maintaining pipe traceability
• Coordinate project activities for final inspection, punch-list and release of constructed equipment to commissioning.
• Ensures that all relevant quality documentation, testing and inspection results are properly documented, complete and handed over in accordance with the information handover specification.

Quality Management
• The Quality Inspector executes the project Quality Plan within the construction activities of the project.
• Implements client''s Engineering and Quality Management Guidelines
• Provides guidance, advice and training to project team, contractors, suppliers, inspectors and third parties as required to ensure understanding of the project Quality objectives.

Quality Planning
• Manage the necessary resources required to meet the inspection and surveillance activities identified in the construction contractor Inspection & Test Plans and the construction schedule.

Quality Assurance
• Review the contractor’s Inspection & Test Plans and other relevant quality documentation.
• Identifies risks in the contractor’s and sub-contractors which may lead to audits being required to be carried out by the project Quality Engineers / Quality Manager.

Quality Control
• Ensure that statutory inspection requirements are complied with during construction of the facilities.
• Ensures company inspection, surveillance and witnessing of constructed components is executed in accordance with approved ITPs.
• Coordination of any Independent Verification Body inspection activities on the construction site.
• Facilitates the project activities to handle contractor queries, non-conformances, deviations and concession requests.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Academic /experience requirements:
• Coating Inspectors shall hold current certification in accordance with one of the following standards as a minimum:
1. Institute of Corrosion – Painting Inspector Level 2.
2. Institute of Corrosion – Pipeline Coating Inspector Level 2.
3. BGAS-CSWIP – Site Coating Inspector.
4. BGAS-CSWIP – Mill Coating Inspector
5. BGAS-CSWIP – Painting Inspector Grade 2.
6. NACE – Coating Inspector Level 2.
7. FROSIO – Coating Inspector Level 2.
• Alternative Coating Inspector certification shall be subject to approval by COMPANY.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a QC Inspector or QC Inspector on Pipe Coatings.
