The Role:
The candidate assists the SURF QA/QC leader and SURF Coating engineer and is responsible for following-up, monitoring and supervising Quality Control (QC) Inspection activities carried out by the SURF Contractors during the Engineering, Procurement, Supply, Construction, and Commissioning phases for all painting / Coating / Field joint & Buoyancy module activities, ensuring that QC contractual and technical requirements are duly applied by Contractors.
The candidate works in close coordination within the SURF package Lead engineers, procurement Leader, QA/QC lead & specialists.
The candidate organises and participates in routine and random inspections/audits/tests, etc., assists to daily / regular QC Inspection meetings with Contractor, performs QC visits and tours and ensures an adequate reporting (areas of concerns, problems encountered in the implementation of the QC Inspection Plan by the Contractors) to the SURF Package (Lead engineers, procurement Leader and specialists). The candidate will also be responsible for identifying and coordinating such inspection requirements in conjunction with the SURF QA/QC Leader and the dedicated Lead Engineer. The candidate Holder will issue reports after each visit.
As a general manner, the candidate provides assistance to the Package team with Quality related matters and all matters related to painting / coating: field joint & buoyancy foam inspection. The candidate participates in reviewing the Contractors QC documentation (Inspection Plan, etc.) and ensures its full implementation by Contractors.
The candidate is also accountable for demonstrating, individually, an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE rules & requirements.

1. To adopt and to demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to Company Ethics and “Code of Conduct” policy and HSSE rules and regulations.
2. To be kept informed of Company Referential (CR, GS, and GM), international standards related to his area of responsibility, taking knowledge from them for application to the Project.
3. To ensure that Contractor is enforcing his contractual commitments, is implementing properly is overall Quality responsibilities, Contract QC Inspection plan and objectives and is safely, properly and timely performing his activities as per Company specifications, design and codes.
As such, for all coating/Painting/field joint & buoyancy foam activities he shall:
- Participate to KOM /PPM / PIM with Contractor/Subcontractor wrt Quality (QA/QC).
- Review the relevant Contractor's and suppliers ITP's and specific procedures;
- Monitor and control the implementation on site of the approved Quality and Quality Control plans, Surveillance plans, Inspection and test plans;
- Monitor the relevant Qualification processes, and ensure their satisfactory implementation and follow-up;
- Ensure that the works are closely inspected by the Contractor’s QC inspection team.
- Challenge Contractor and suppliers on overall quality control performance and inspection activities, and to perform routine and random inspections in this regard; ensure Contractor & vendor personnel have the correct certifications and skill necessary.
- Monitor the work deficiencies (repair rate in particular), and ensure the implementation of the necessary corrective actions;
- Monitor and ensure final documentation progress in timely manner;
- Follow up on the implementation of agreed action plans, or other mitigation plan issued;
- Attend, when requested, the various Quality related meetings;
- Participate to Quality specific audits or visits and provide regular QC inspection & activity reports.

5. Continuous monitoring of Contractor and suppliers performance and proposed any modification, improvement, corrective actions deemed necessary. Close monitoring of any NCR, IRC issued up to satisfactory closure.
6. The service holder is responsible with Package Quality leader & Coating specialist for management of all Coating/painting/field joint & buoyancy foam inspection and surveillance activities for the package.
In General for all coating/Painting/field joint & buoyancy foam activities:
 -He is in charge for coordination and reporting for the package.
 -He is responsible for performance of the package inspection activities, including day to day management of quality control/surveillance personnel.
 -He is responsible for warrant requirements are correctly applied all along the process.
 To analyze / resolve QC issues and problems encountered by Company personnel
7. To report to SURF QC Leader / SURF Coating Engineer wrt to QA/QC activities, in particular when deviations to works are detected.
8. Prepared and issued activities weekly/monthly report. Issued surveillance report after each vendor/site visit.
9. To ensure confidentiality of all the documentation issued under his area of responsibility.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Professional Experience (years): min 10 years of QC Inspection experience
Experience in similar position (years): mini 5 in similar role
Level / Diploma: Engineer, or equivalent: FROSIO or NACE Level III
Languages: English mandatory
