The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
This role is part of the Downstream Organization and the role will require strong communication, diverse Quality Assurance / Quality Control experience with a strong emphasis and valve repair, overhaul and testing.

Please note this position is located in Darwin, working 11 hour days, Mon to Fri.

Key Job Responsibilities

70%
- Oversee valve repair and testing at Supplier workshop facility, prepare reports and inspection release. Immediately escalate to project any issues that would prevent timely remediation of the valves, provide daily progress updates. Verify remediation work scope is agreed by project.
- Perform valve visual Inspections, ‘as received’ condition.
- Witness all hydrostatic, gas/air testing.
- Familiar with applicable codes and standards (API598/6D)
- Review document for replacement materials confirming acceptability prior to use
- Perform welding inspection for weld overlay when required; ensure welding procedures are approved by project.
- Oversight of machining operations, confirming correct dimensions
- Check/review calibration certificates
- Witness function / performance tests as required
- Compile Inspection reports as required.
- Issue Inspection Release Certificate (IRC) to project.

20%
- Special assignment as required: NCR verification/ follow up and MDR Review etc. Facilitate NCR close-out by providing test/material documentation to project.

5%
- Promote safety awareness (IIF) and safe performance example among project team members and all contractor personnel. This would include participation in IIF training at site and fabrication yards.

- Promote clear, accurate, timely and consistent communication with other organizations with respect to Global Project Quality expectations and objectives.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
5 -15 years oil and gas experience, trade background mechanical/rotating equipment with inspection qualifications API, CSWIP etc.
Valve manufacture/ repair shop experience advantageous.
Comprehensive understanding of QC requirements for Suppliers/ Contractors (MDR) on Oil and Gas related construction projects
Good understanding of Inspection requirements associated with Oil and Gas related construction projects
Candidate shall be comfortable working in a team environment and shall display confidence in representing the Client when interfacing with Suppliers/ Contractors
Ability to do repetitive work within guidelines and maintain precise records
Ability to perform tasks with extreme detail, accuracy and speed
Ability to read and understand instructions, rules and written procedures
Basic computer skills Ability to work well with co-workers in a team environment with limited supervision
Good communication skills
