A major European Exploration & Production company with projects running globally.

The Role:
Italian Speaking Essential

Our client seeks an experienced QC Inspector Jacket Steel /Piping for our Jacket Construction project as part of a major project. The main area of responsibility will be QC inspection of and LCI documentation of the Jacket and Piles.

Reporting to: Fabrication Site Lead
Work place: Jacket construction site, Arbatax, Sardinia

Commuting to engineering and main office is required.
Travelling to Engineering Office, Main Office and Subcontractors location may be required.

Responsibilities
•Perform QS-inspections at the fabrication yard. (welding and NDT).
•Perform QS-inspections at subcontractor’s facility. (welding and NDT).
•Perform cross check of NDT performance (UT, MT)
•Verification of X-ray`s.
•Act as an example in HSE, Quality and open communication with the team and Contractors
•Maintain awareness of and promote project goals in respect of HSE, budget, quality, schedule, and technical integrity
•Follow up constructability
•Assist the Site Fabrication Lead with following up progress of work at site, including procurement and receipt of materials and subcontractors.
•Participate in risks identifications at site
•Maintain site-reporting and provide input to the company project management report

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications
•Education / Profession:
•NS-EN 473 level II. U.T.
•NS-EN 473 level II. R.T.
•NS-EN 473 level II. M.T.
•NS-EN 473 level II. P.T.
•NS-EN 477 Weld Inspector. V.T.
•The QC inspector shall be qualified according to NS-EN 473 level II as a minimum or equivalent 3rd party certification scheme.


•5-10 years relevant QC/QS experience within the oil and gas industry or other relevant industry.
•Work in a site team at a remote location, working with international teams; culture and routines
•Knowledge of ISO 9000 series of standards
•Regulatory competence for the petroleum industry
