The Role:
KEY ROLES
• Performs company QC team monitoring, informal and formal surveillances on Contractors QC and Inspection Welding activities for compliance to project requirements. Review of Contractor Welding inspectors and Welding procedures to confirm alignment to company requirements
• Perform monitoring, informal and formal surveillances of Contractors site Welding activities for topsides and jackets construction
• Perform checks on Contractors welding results and monitor for site welding improvement
• Review and confirm Contractors site welding parameters are according to procedures
• Provide HSE leadership and report to company any unsafe acts or conditions, work with company and Contractors to deliver expectations
• Oversee Contractors site welding activities, issue reports on acceptance of welding work done by Contractor (piping and structural) during all phases of welding completion
• Perform site checks on status of consumable welding materials and confirm satisfactory storage, issue site conditions are adequate
• Identify and recommends resolutions of non-conformances and corrective actions to Contractors site construction welding activities and monitors to satisfactory close-out
• Review and participate in Contractors Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) ensure company monitor, witness and hold points included in ITPs are implemented
• Provide input into lessons learned, PIMS and risk management systems
• Provide detailed daily, weekly and monthly Quality reports as required by project and attend project meetings as required
• Review and confirm conformance of Contractors welding personnel and procedures
• Perform performance reviews, recommend areas for improvement
• Ensure Contractors fully implement project requirements as defined in approved specifications and procedures
• Source required data for monitoring and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Welding Inspector – CSWIP Level 3.1
• Radiographic Technician - ASNT
• UT Technician – ASNT
• MPI Technician - ASNT
• Minimum 5 years in Welding Inspection, relating to construction of topsides and jackets in Oil and Gas industry
• Minimum 3 years in Welding and inspection surveillances on client behalf overseeing Contractors work activities
• Good knowledge of hands-on use of inspection tools for Welding performed by Contractor
• Piping fabrication, assembly, flange management, cleanliness verification and structures fabrication
