The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
This role is part of the Downstream Quality Assurance / Quality Control Team. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, possess good communication skills, leadership, teamwork, technical mechanical experience, computer literate with a high level of technical report writing. Be fully conversant with applicable AS, API, ASME Codes/Standards relating to rotating equipment. Candidate shall ideally have previous experience in B2B role.

Provide support & direction to the Contractor’s Mechanical inspectors to ensure compliance with project specifications / drawings, and vendor’s recommendations.
Provide support to construction during assembly of package supplied equipment from the setting out, through to final acceptance ensuring compliance with project specifications / drawings, and vendors recommendations requirements.
Monitoring to ensure effective implementation of ITP’s & ITR’s by the Contractor and attendance at Hold & Witness points.
Participating with Construction, Engineering and Completions/Commissioning in the verification of mechanical completion.
Assisting with coordinating Company inspections with site contractors,
Developing and implementing the mechanical inspection surveillance programme.
Assisting with timely resolution, verification and follow up of Non-Conformance reports (NCR’s)
Provide assistance with compiling final hand over documentation as required.

Routine Surveillance of Mechanical activities – maintain Surveillance programme

Promote safety awareness (Incident Injury Free) and safe performance example at site, fabrication yards, subcontractors and vendor shops participation in IIF. Completes safety observations monthly and as required (TSTO)

General Comments:
• Proactive approach to resolving quality issues.
• Understanding and appreciation of IIF culture.
• Effective communication and reporting skills.
• Previous experience of working on LNG projects.
• Candidate shall display confidence in representing the Client when interfacing with Contractors.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Skills and Qualifications
• Apprenticeship trained preferably as a Millwright, minimum as a mechanical fitter.
• Previous 10 years of experience on major Oil & Gas EPCM construction projects.
• Previous experience with installation of static and rotating equipment as a mechanical inspector.
• Previous experience installing package supplied equipment, under vendor’s recommendations and directions.
• Good understanding of QA/QC requirements for final documentation on Oil & Gas related construction Projects.
• Confidence in executing routine surveillance inspections around structural, mechanical, static, rotating equipment including piping.
• Previous experience with installation of large Gas Turbine Generators (GTG’s) and /or Compressors.
• Basic computing skills and working knowledge of MS Office Word/Excel
