The Company:
Joining a Multi-national team based in one of the World's Largest Fabrication yards, this is an exciting long term (3 years+) role for an experienced QC NDE Coordinator to be part of a World Class Development.

The Role:
The role will be based in Okpo, Geoje Island and will report to the Quality Manager Korea for this World Class Project.

Technical Duties and Responsibilities will include:

• Supervise, train and mentor staff NDE personnel
• Review, evaluate and approve all NDE Contractors
• Review and approve all NDE procedures
• Maintain files and data bases of contractor procedures and track approval status
• Maintain personnel certificate files
• Establish and monitor radiation safety practices
• Establish NDE methodologies on site
• Manage direct Contract 3rd Party NDE and surveillance cross checking contractor including
o Manage personnel and equipment mobilizations
o Manage cost and schedule
o Manage commercial issues
o Assist with Planning
o Approve contractor technicians
o Provide weekly contractor activity reports
o oversee use of 3rd party contractor equipment
o Coordinate the performance of all NDE that is directly contracted with area QC supervisors
o Act as Technical Supervisor for all subcontracted NDE
• Ensure all radiographs are reviewed by Project or 3rd Party contractor
• Monitor all NDE activities to verify compliance with project and regulatory requirements
• Oversee the performance of periodic surveillance and audits of NDE being conducted in the field
• Ensure technical competence of NDE technicians
• Establish and maintain all NDE records
• Provide technical rulings on NDE issues
• Technically supervise ToFD and Phased Array Ultrasonic testing Contractor
• Act as certifying authority for Project technicians on site
• Monitor implementation of company, project and sub-contract HSE policies and procedures
• Provide weekly, fortnightly progress reports to the fabrication team
• Contribute inputs into the QC Module Team

HSE:
• Support all HES Activities / Initiatives
• Observe for unsafe acts / unsafe conditions and raise observation cards.
• Participate in Behavioral Based Safety (BBS).
• Fully support and participate in all Injury and Incident Free (IIF) initiatives.
Compliance with Ethics policies

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
IT Skills
• Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the intermediate use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations

Management Skills
• Skills demonstrating the capability to run a large project
• High critical thinking/reasoning ability
• Effective communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
• Effective communication skills

Technical Skills:
• Diploma or Degree plus ASNT or PCN Level III/EN 473 in the following methods MT,PT, UT, RT
• Must have a minimum of 16 years NDE experience 10 years of hands-on conducting examinations. Extensive ultrasonics experience conducting UT exams in a petroleum or nuclear environment
• Must have recognized classroom training of at least 80 hours and extensive experience in PAUT/ToFD methods in oil industry environment using Olympus or Zetec equipment.
