The Role:
The QHSE department provides the framework for managing QHSE issues throughout the organisation to reflect Client QHSE Policy and operating practices, ensuring QHSE risks are minimised throughout all our business activities.
Reporting to the QHSE Manager, the QHSE Adviser provides the necessary support to ensure this framework is suitable, compliant and implemented effectively, and to ensure high QHSE standards and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Audit & Compliance (primary)
• Ensure compliance with the Clients corporate QHSE requirements, UK Health & Safety and UKCS regulations, and EU directives.
• Ensure alignment with industry standards, guidelines and best practices.
• Monitor/audit compliance with the company’s Management Systems and Legislation.
• Maintain regulatory compliance processes and information, and support resolution of regulatory compliance issues.
• Coordinate the annual Management Review process and input to the QHSE Improvement plan.

Management Systems (support)
• Support the effective development, implementation and maintenance of the Management Systems, consistent with ISO 9001/14001/OHSAS18001.
• Specifically, support the development of the QHSE Management System and assist/influence the development of other functional management systems to ensure an integrated business management system.
• Support effective compliance and continuous improvement with the Management Systems.
• Support integration/alignment with the ISC contractor’s management systems.

QHSE Support
• Support contract processes and contractor management from a QHSE perspective (including ITT preparations, bid reviews, contractor audits and interface arrangements etc).
• Support activities and initiatives to facilitate continuous improvement in QHSE performance.
• Provide general QHSE support to other functions as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• The successful applicant will preferably hold suitable relevant QHSE qualifications.
• Audit and compliance experience & qualifications (Lead Auditor), and good understanding of QA requirements & functions,
• Have related experience in QHSE roles supporting offshore operations and with QHSE Management Systems, within the UK Oil & Gas industry.
• Have good working knowledge and experience in QHSE related UK legislation (on & offshore), and good understanding of corporate, national & international standards, and industry best practices.

• Ability to influence third parties through ownership, collaboration and team work.
• Proactive and pragmatic.
• Problem solving and detail oriented.
• Have sufficient knowledge to identify potential bottlenecks / mitigation measures and have the skills to prepare regular analysis and reporting for senior management information.
