Our client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions the transmission and distribution industry

The Role:
My client is looking to recruit an experience QHSE Engineer who has a Health and Safety bias to develop suitable strategies and techniques to engage different departments and personnel in order to encourage their compliance with the QHSE processes.

Key duties will include:

• Carrying out Internal auditing and reporting for Health & Safety, Functional Safety & Quality - also facilitate timely completion of outstanding issues and actions
• Support the QHSE manager in the maintenance, monitoring and implementation of the Health & Safety and Quality Management Systems
• Provide Support to QHSE manager/ safety Advisor in delivering internal Health and Safety related Training
• Expediting follow-up and close-out of Corrective Actions
• Data capture, root cause analysis and reporting on QH&S performance
• Support QHSE manager/safety advisor in the updating and development of new and revised process & procedural documentation.
• Participate in/Lead selected workplace Inspections
• Review of Health & Safety Plans, Project Risk Assessments, DSE Assessments and Quality Plans
• Support QHSE Manager in preparing for and hosting customer initiated Compliance Audits

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Strong experience in an HSE role or Quality Assurance within a engineering environment
• Internal HSE auditing Skills/Quality (IRCA approved Internal auditing Certificate for example)
• NEBOSH Certificate in Health & Safety
• Good general IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio etc)
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, self motivated, and ability to work on own initiative
• Diplomatic, tenacious and pragmatic, with good attention to detail and planning

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Familiarity with OHSAS 18001, IEC 61508 & ISO9001 and a knowledge of business processes within a projects engineering environment would be an advantage
