The Company:
Privately-owned international drilling, well service and engineering company.

The Role:
The QHSE Manager Brazil Region has the overall responsibility for controlling and supporting the Company’s work in Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment. The QHSE Manager must also recommend overall solutions which will promote continual improvement to reach the company goal of zero fault.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain relevant QHSE certification
• Co-ordinate customer support
• Co-ordinate support internally for all Brazil divisions
• Co-operate with Management in daily operations, bids and projects
• Assist in risk management
• Be pro-active in relation to the Authorities and industry organisations
• Develop and support the emergency response organisation as required
• Undertake management representation activities (ref ISO 9001)
• Keep abreast of any new development or policy related to QHSE
• Oversee specialised training courses for Company employees
• Manage and give support to QHSE Advisors and STCs
• Ensure that all members of the Emergency Response Team are prepared and fully trained to render assistance in an emergency situation
• Ensure a continually safe operating environment in onshore locations by managing/instigating onshore policies and procedures.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Higher maritime/technical education or equivalent practical/theoretical knowledge
• Varied work experience within Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment with 5 years industry experience
• Knowledge and experience with relevant shelf and flag state legislation
• Proficient in the use of IT software and IT systems
• Experience as a leader
• Should have the necessary basic training and certification for offshore visits
• Must successfully pass pre-placement medical examination and drug screening
• Must be fully committed to QHSE mindset and continual improvement
