The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
§ QHSE Awareness Training for New Starters and for facilitating the delivery of Internal H&S Training (Risk Assessment Training, Manual Handing, Are-U Safe ) etc.
§ The Monitoring of QHSE Performance within the Business and the preparation and issue of associated Reports to the Management Team.
§ Interface with the UK Sustainability Coordinator and other Business Unit H&S Advisors to deliver/support the client Group and Country HSE Initiatives, tools, and processes.
§ Management of the day to day activities of the QHSE department /team to support the business.
§ Interfacing /communicating with all levels of the business to promote and support

o Safe Systems of Work, Behaviour, and Awareness.
§ Monitoring , expediting, support provision, and reporting, on all business related accidents/ near misses and other H&S Issues arising .
§ Monitoring, Coaching & delivery of training for the clients 4Q Operational Excellence Projects

Responsible for :
§ The planning and execution of QHSE Internal Audits, Workplace Inspections, and Safety Observation Tours for the Business
§ Management of the Risk Assessment program planning and compliance, and in particular DSE Assessment maintenance and follow-up.
§ Review and approval of H&S Plans, Quality Plans, and Risk Assessments etc. associated with project activities.
§ Monitoring, analysis and reporting of, Cost-of Poor Quality data, and reporting on QH&S performance
Customer
§ Responsible for the co-ordination of Customer Complaints within the Local Business Unit.
§ Responsible for responding to Customer QHSE Enquiries, associated with new business pursuits, and in support of on-going project work
Interface to Customer and Third Parties in respect of QHSE matters arising

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• 5+ Years’ experience in a Quality & H&S Management Role
• NEBOSH Certificate in H&S (Diploma within 2 yrs)
• Sound knowledge of requirements and application of BS EN ISO9001 and OHSAS 18001
• Member of Chartered Quality Institute (or equivalent entry level qualifications)
• Good general IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio etc.)
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization,
• Innovative with pragmatic approach to problem solving and process improvement

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Preferable experience gained in a Project Engineering Environment
• Working knowledge of Environmental Management System to ISO14001
