The Role:
An immediate vacancy has arisen for a Quality Assurance Coordinator to work with our client, a major Oil & Gas project owner, on their brownfield assets in Melbourne. The successful candidate will join them at an integral time, overseeing the work of the EPC contracting company’s quality management program.

Working directly for the project owner you will report back to the Quality Lead, you will provide input into the procurement deliverables such as pre-qual reviews, ITP review & input and vendor assessments.

As part of this position, you will be responsible for:
- The implementation of the Project Quality Plan in assigned scope of work
- Providing training for key staff
- Ensuring execution of Surveillance Programs through development of Surveillance Plans and through ongoing monitoring and auditing
- Reporting on quality issues, status, metrics and lessons learned to Project Management
- Managing efforts to resolve quality issues and make improvements to quality activities

In exchange, our client will offer a challenging opportunity working on a major brownfield gas project in Victoria. As the team expands, you may have the opportunity to take on the role of Procurement Quality Coordinator or Site Quality Coordinator as the recruitment process for these positions occurs. With the expected completion date being the first quarter of 2015, they are also able to provide the reassurances of a long term position of around two years.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in Quality Management positions, coordination of quality activities for projects of various facilities in the Oil and Gas Industry and auditing quality management systems
- Significant experience in management of project quality systems
- Worldwide experience with Contractors and Suppliers involved in production facilities projects
- Experience with project completions and documentation for operations turnover

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Science, as well as qualifications / certification in auditing and in inspection disciplines
- Experience working in client role on major production facilities projects is preferred
