The Company:
Our client, a major Oil & Gas owner, is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team

The Role:
• Provide Quality Control Assurance at Upstream Americas Oil Sands Construction sites for Pressure Equipment, Piping, Rotating Equipment, Instrumentation, Electrical, Civil and Pipeline installations
• Responsible to ensure Quality Control requirements are defined and met for projects
• Responsible to provide Quality Control requirement training to 3rd party inspectors and Contractor Quality Control personnel.
• Review the Construction Contractors Quality Assurance Manuals for Construction of Pressure Equipment, Piping and Pipelines to ensure they meet the requirements of the Jurisdiction Safety Codes, Acts and applicable Project Standards.
• Ensure project lessons learned on quality control are documented and applied to future projects
• Monthly reporting of Construction Quality KPI’s
• Actively demonstrate support for the corporate position on health, safety, sustainable development, diversity, respectful workplace and the General Business Principles and Code of Ethics.

Special Challenges:

• Oversight of construction Quality Control work on multiple Oil Sands projects in Canada for on time completion of deliverables and completed documentation
• Ability to influence project management teams on Quality Control based decisions to ensure the correct balance of risk and cost considerations in business decisions.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience and Qualifications required:

• Oversight of construction Quality Control work on multiple Oil Sands projects in Canada for on time completion of deliverables and completed documentation
• Ability to influence project management teams on Quality Control based decisions to ensure the correct balance of risk and cost considerations in business decisions.
• 10 years inspection experience minimum
• API 510, API 570, API 653 certified
• Pipeline construction experience an asset
• Civil construction experience an asset
