The Role:
The DTU Quality Assurance Coordinator will deliver quality assurance to the Upstream Dry Tree Units facilities (DTU) of the Browse LNG Development in compliance with the project management framework as set by OPREP and the Project Execution Standard. This includes implementing a quality management system and coordinating verification processes and services in support of the delivery of the development scope at the BOD, FEED and Execute phases.

Objectives of the position

Implement the Browse Upstream project management system and required processes to support the DTU team progressing through FEED and Project Execution and to target high integrity in the design, procurement, manufacture, installation and commissioning of the Upstream DTUs with minimum rework and the lowest cost outcome.
Maintain an overview of all DTU quality assurance related activities and actively engage with the Upstream Engineering, Construction, Installation and Commissioning teams to ensure effective resolution of real and potential issues.
Provide assurance by audit, observation and regular communication, that the FEED Contractors and Upstream DTU team are performing the work in accordance with the related approved quality management and execution plans.
Liaise with Materials and Welding Engineers and provide assurance on materials, welding, and NDT and inspection matters related to the Upstream DTUs.
Implement the DTU team elements of the Browse Upstream audit and review schedule.
Plan, coordinate and/or conduct audits and reviews in accordance with the approved Browse Upstream audit and review schedule.
Ensure that project personnel within Upstream DTU team are provided with adequate training and are fully conversant with the related project management systems and procedures.
Provide an effective quality input to project deliverables and interfaces, including tender, contracts and procurement.
Ensure that all Upstream DTU contractors and suppliers fully understand Project quality requirements and that they provide a service or product that ultimately meets project expectations
Provide QA input for the weekly and monthly reports

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities
Effectiveness of the Project quality management system for the DTU scope including the system procedures, assurance process, the verification plan, quality control, control of action items and management of project quality records.
Promote awareness of assurance and quality process by establishing training for Upstream DTU team personnel in the project management systems and procedures.
Provide practical and appropriate quality assurance and support to Upstream DTU team and discipline engineers to ensure project technical integrity and quality objectives are achieved and to demonstrate that design and operational requirements will be fulfilled.
Ensure that appropriate verification activities are included for Upstream DTU design, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation and commissioning phases.
Lead/participate in selected major contractor and project management system audits both in office and site locations.
Ensure quality control surveillance

Project Management systems are implemented and personnel are trained in the use of the systems.
Required quality organisation for Upstream DTU is in place to support quality assurance activities.
Technical integrity and project quality objectives for Upstream DTU related activities are achieved.
Quality verification activities are planned and implement across the Upstream DTU with desired outcomes.
Audits and reviews are conduced in accordance with the approved schedule and audit action items are satisfactorily reviewed and closed out in a timely manner.
Quality related issues are resolved in a satisfactory and timely manner.
Continuous improvement of the project quality management system is evident.

Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Engineering (preferred) with 10+ years experience in large offshore and/or onshore oil and gas projects.
Experience in quality assurance and in the application of ISO rated processes (ISO9001).
