The Company:
Our Client is one of the UK's leading suppliers of instrumentation for a diverse range of applications in the nuclear industry.

The Role:
• Maintaining and improving the intranet based Business Management System
• Working with the Engineering and Manufacturing Departments to ensure development and manufacture of new products are in accordance with requirements
• The Quality Assurance Engineer will plan and conduct audits, creating audit reports and determining the proper corrective and preventive actions
• Conducting root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for process related issues
• Lead product value engineering and production engineering within development or sustaining activities
• Be proactive on internal and supply chain processes to lean them, reduce variability and hence drive down costs
• The Quality Assurance Engineer will be analysing failure, corrective and preventive actions to respond to customer complaints.
• Degree with Quality specialisation or equivalent degree in a related engineering or science subject
• The Quality Assurance Engineer will be fully conversant with QA standards and practices - ISO9001:2008 essential
• Internal Auditor
• Good knowledge of Lean and 6 Sigma methodology would be an advantage
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good problem solving skills - ability to identify root causes
• Good organisational skills
• Good basic IT skills
