The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
To ensure compliance to applicable quality customer-specific standards and requirements. To develop quality standards including inspection and test instructions. To ensure validation and test processes in relation to new product.
To maintain the documented quality management systems, liaise with accrediting bodies and coordinate third party audit by customers and others. To coordinate the internal audit program.
To coordinate change including new parts and engineering drawings and process instructions and ensure related documentation is effectively controlled.
To ensure compliance to product approvals and certification.
To develop control plans, FMEAs etc and apply appropriate quality methods to ensure quality resolution.
To provide reports and metrics on quality performance. Maintain visual management across the facility and engage teams in quality awareness.
To act as a point of contact for quality issues from customers and suppliers in relation to issues, queries and technical resolution.
To close-out quality non conformances, corrective actions and complaints.
To coordinate the resolution of quality-related issues by effective project management.
To support the introduction of new products into the operation.
To provide technical and quality tool guidance to operations.
To collaborate closely with quality team colleagues and support the wider range of quality activity.
To support continuous improvement initiatives in the facility

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Hold a Bachelor Degree or equivalent in an appropriate engineering or technical discipline
Six Sigma Green belt (or equivalent)

· Minimum 5 years quality management experience gained in a manufacturing environment
· Experience of quality management systems, particularly ISO9000, ISO13485, AS9100 or TS16949
· Knowledge of leading 8D, FMEA, 5S, etc and a range of quality methodology
· Experience in a customer facing role
· Ability to interpret engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
· Application of statistical techniques including SPC and measurement systems analysis
· Good verbal and written communication skills and MS
· Excellent problem solving skills along strong analytical techniques

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
· Knowledge of SAP
· Good team working and project management experience
· Experience of working with the gate process model for new product introduction
· Good understanding of MP product range and manufacturing process
