The Company:
Our client is one of the major producer of LNG.

The Role:
• Inspects all stock receipts of spare parts, materials and equipment purchased by the Company to ensure compliance with contractually agreed quality, specifications, packaging and documentation.
• Identifies all failures to meet agreed QA standards, prepares reports through SAP quality management system.. Follows established procedures for vendor/supplier follow-up and institutes corrective actions.
• Ensures preservation of all spare parts, materials and equipment are stored in the Company warehouses strictly in accordance with manufacturer specifications and/or established Company procedures. Co-ordinates long term preservation and re-preservation of spare parts, materials or equipment damaged at the time of receipt or during handling within the warehouse.
• Perform PMI to ensure that all piping material specifications are as per company requirements.
• Develops and secures approval for QA procedures for the control, handling and documentation required to maintain Company Quality Assurance guidelines.
• Participates in the implementation of the Quality Management concepts in line with ISO 9000 Series protocol.
• Ensures safety of Company personnel and assets through compliance with all SHE&Q policies, procedures and standards.
• Keeps abreast of the latest developments in Quality Assurance for the possible benefit of the Company.
• Assists in the implementation of the training and development of Qatari nationals in accordance with established Company policy.
• Negotiation and Vendor evaluation skills required for call off agreements with Supplier and Manufacturer

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline, or equivalent. AWS/ASNT LEVEL II or equivalent welding inspection/NDT certification
Minimum 5 year’s experience in materials inspection and preservation environment within the oil and gas sector.
Computer literacy and a good knowledge of standard office software, with knowledge of SAP an advantage.
Extensive experience in dealing with consultants, contractors, vendors and suppliers, particularly those involved in the oil and gas sector.
Good written and oral English skills.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member.
Good adaptability to multinational environments, with wide exposure to various cultures and customs
