The Company:
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible to the Projects Quality Manager for overseeing the management of quality surveillance activities on the Project. To provide support to the project delivery streams within the Projects Department through the implementation of robust quality surveillance management principles and techniques.

The Role:
Maintain the 'stage gate' processes through all phases of the project delivery system
To work in accordance with the company’s project department management system.
Provide technical assistance with the development of the company’s project department management system.
Approval, checking and preparation of design/engineering documentation.
Develop and enhance processes and systems for wider use in the discipline.
Ensure work is carried out in accordance with relevant Codes, Standards and Procedures.
Provide input to cost estimates and execution plans.
Ensure technical integrity of all discipline deliverables on the project.
Report progress status to the line and function reporting lines.
Maintain and develop current awareness of relevant engineering technology & Codes and Standards.
Ensure that technical, administrative, and human factors affecting Quality are under control and these controls are orientated towards reduction, elimination and prevention of Quality deficiencies.
Prepare and obtain approval of the project Quality/surveillance plans, internal/external audit schedules and assist project management in the definition, documentation and appraisal of the project Quality systems for both Project and the contractors, as necessary.
Provide input into Invitations to Tender (ITT) and bid enquiries for direct procurement by Project. Assist in the review of potential Contractors and participate in pre-award site visits, surveys etc.
Review and audit the project to verify compliance and to ensure adequate and auditable project Quality records are maintained throughout the life of the project.
Promote quality awareness & continuous improvement throughout the project.
Ensure appropriate measures are taken to meet the project quality objectives and identify any unresolved quality problems to the Project Quality Manager.
Review and approve as necessary the Contractor Quality, Project Verification, inspection/test plans, internal / external audit schedules and participate in selected audits and inspection surveillance operations.
Monitor, review and audit as necessary the Contractor Quality systems during all phases of the project for compliance with contract requirements and all other regulatory body approvals.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Proven experience in quality management specifically in the oil and gas industry
The candidate shall be experienced in both Brownfield and Greenfield Construction Projects in the UKCS and be experienced in the roles as described above
Ability to liaise with other disciplines, departments, project personnel and contractors.
