The Company:
Our client, a major Owner/Operator, is seeking expertise for their projects in Alberta and British Columbia.

The Role:
Position Purpose:
• Provide Quality Assurance at construction sites for pressure equipment, piping, rotating equipment, instrumentation, electrical and pipeline installations, pipelines, and civil
• Ensure Construction Quality Assurance requirements are defined and meet project requirements
• Feedback learning’s to appropriate levels in the company in a timely manner
• Provide Quality Control requirement training to 3rd party inspectors and Contractor Quality Control personnel

Principal Responsibilities:
• Review the Construction Contractors Quality Assurance Manuals for: Construction of Pressure Equipment, Piping and Pipelines to ensure they meet the requirements of the Jurisdiction Safety Codes, Acts and applicable Project Standards; Electrical; Instrumentation; Structural; Rotating; Civil
• Responsibilities in the PDR process, Step 19 & 20 field construction
• Actively demonstrate support for the corporate position on health, safety, sustainable development, diversity, respectful workplace and the General Business Principles and Code of Conduct.
• Provide appropriate level of quality training to OSR’s
• Understand the derogations, specifications and the resulting work required to support the change
• Ensure changes etc. are documented
• Review the contractor(s) quality program
• Ensure contractor ITP’s are reviewed by qualified QA staff
• Review registered programs such as Jurisdiction QC program and PSV QC programs
• Ensure review of electronic databases containing, MTR’s, welder documentation for current documentation
• Jurisdiction Certificate of Inspection for pressure equipment
• Identify Quality non-conformance, ensure appropriate supporting documentation is attached
• Report non-conformances to the PDE, QMS manager
• Follow-up Quality non-conformances for completion
• Report re-work costs

• Quality Assurance Team
• Q5 implementation

Audits:
• Develop and execute an audit program to address critical milestones in the project construction life cycle. Audits may include but are not limited to: Review works contractor ITP’s prior to commencement of work; When the works contractor arrives on-site but before work has begun
• This is an audit of systems to assure quality and compliance: Site/skid audits at 30%, 60% and 90% of the completed project; May participate in PSUA for the project; Timely completion and reporting of NCR’s; MOC; RFI Process; Workface Planning

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Oversight experience for Construction Quality Control work on multiple projects
• Pipeline construction experience an asset
• API 510/570/653 an asset
• CWB Level 2
• NACE certified coating inspector Level 2 an asset
• Experience managing QA staff workloads
• Minimum 10 years experience
