The Company:
A global Oil & Gas Operator with major projects running in the Caspian region.

The Role:
• Single Point of Contact (SPC) for all quality control issues
• Manager for all site QC team activities
• Assist Company in achievement of Quality & Integrity of Build
• Promote achievement of the Project Quality Policy and Objectives
• Maintenance of QC Records for facility build

• Assist and support the Project Manager to achieve the project objectives
• Promote the Project Quality Policy & Objectives and ensure compliance to Quality Management in Major Projects, through coaching of site team
• Demonstrate HSE leadership by actively engaging the BP site team and construction contractors with actions that contribute to delivering on the company HSE expectations
• Promote surveillance of all inspection and testing activities in accordance with the project quality documents
• Ensure Contractors QC personnel are competent and with appropriate records
• Surveillance of the contractor’s competency assessment process for personnel undergoing trade tests.
• Ensure that the Hold & Witness points and other requirements identified within the Inspection & Test Plans are fully implemented by the contractors
• Supervise Company discipline QC site team and deploy inspectors according to ITP and project priorities; develop performance criteria and ensure expectations are being met
• Participate in the decision process relating to the disposition of non-conformances, concessions to specification and codes that are requested by contractor.
• Determine, track and report QC related Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) Identify quality issues & product integrity issues, trends and take appropriate action, making recommendations for improvement to the Quality Team
• Communicate all potential quality-related risk and improvement issues to the Project Manager & Quality Team Lead (QTL)
• Take ownership of inspection related execution risks and drive them to acceptable levels
• Submit weekly discipline report and provide other accurate/timely input to various site reports
• Ensure that QC related Action Items are addressed and closed in a timely manner
• Participate in various site meetings and initiatives as required by the Project Manager or QTL
• Lead and/or coordinate weekly QC meetings with contractor, and site team
• Lead and/or participate in quality reviews, investigations and site audits as directed by the QTL
• Demonstrate a commitment to the development of Azerbaijani nationals
• Demonstrate basic skill and character prerequisites on an on-going basis

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Internationally recognised technical qualification e.g. Higher National Certificate or equivalent (desirable)
• Senior Welding Inspector - CSWIP Level 3.2.2 or 3.2.1 with Rad Interpretation CSWIP or PCN Level 2 [held for over 3 years] or CWI equivalent
• Expertise in comprehending, interpreting, and communicating quality specifications, fabrication drawings, welding procedures & specifications, and inspection reports

• Coating Inspection - NACE Level 2
• CQI or AQI Membership

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience in a Quality Control Leadership role for onshore or offshore facilities and equipment
• Experience of leading a multi-national team
• Substantial experience closely aligned with job responsibilities (see section 5)
• Understanding of the application of Company Operating Management System requirements, as applied to Site Inspection activities (Desirable)
