The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company responsible for the Construction, Ownership and Operation of it's own Plants.

The Role:
Assume overall responsibility for the operation of the Central Laboratory on assigned shift schedule. Perform transactional type of analytical work to support various units.

1. Provide supervision and work assignments to laboratory analysts and technicians on assigned shift schedule.
2. Ensure laboratory testing facility and equipment are in proper working condition and adequate personnel are available to cover the shift. Arrange overtime work as needed.
3. Responsible for the execution of approved routine sample schedule, non-routine or special analysis requests, project samples, test-runs, start up, and shut-down related analysis.
4. Ensure product quality by reviewing completed test data, monitoring compliance to production targets and specifications, and initiating corrective actions as necessary. Release data to customers upon verification.
5. Maintain continuous and uninterrupted operations through proper coordination of testing information and work backlogs.
6. Maintain internal and external work contracts (e.g. with lab supervisors, plants Foreman, etc.)
7. Collaborate with Laboratory Analytical Superintendent, laboratory supervisors and analytical specialists, to identify and address issues pertinent to operations.
8. Ensure proper sample collections/sample login/sample maintenance and performing routine & non routine checks to monitor instrument performance.
9. Ensure compliance to ISO9001 standard requirements, and laboratory and site safety procedures.
10. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/ manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Associate degree in Analytical Chemistry
• Job Training Standard certification
