The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
This position is to coordinate and oversee Quality Management activities performed by the various Execution Construction Contractors for the Upstream Scope (various) scope of the project to ensure a consistent approach is taken to Quality Management activities (QA/QC) across all areas and contractor operations.

Main responsibilities:
• Develop and implement the Project Upstream Project Quality Management Plan, System and supp0orting processes for the Execution Construction/Commissioning Scopes of Work
• Monitor the performance of and provide assistance and guidance to the Quality personnel embedded in the Project Site Teams and provide functional guidance and assistance when required
• Conduct audits and reviews on the Principal Contractors, Subcontractors and Suppliers Quality Management Systems and arrangements on a risk basis, as defined in the Specific Audit Schedule. Log corrective actions and track through to closure. Highlight overdue actions to the General Manager & Senior Team and individual Project site teams
• Manage the interface between the Independent Verification Body (IVB) and the Construction/Commissioning Site Teams
• Support the consistent application of the Construction Surveillance & Verification process
• Provide reports and analysis as necessary on Quality Management performance across all activities and all stakeholders
• Brief the organisation (Project Upstream delivery teams) on the Quality Management arrangements including System. Plans and supporting processes
• Provide input to the Continuous Improvement Programme

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Extensive experience in Quality Management on major projects including Engineering, Construction & Commissioning at a senior level
• Power industry experience
• Educated to degree or similar level
• Knowledge of ISO 9001,14001 and OHSAS 18001
• Knowledge of relevant International code and Standards
• Good technical authorship skills
• Hands-on experience of quality system auditing
• Practical delivery and implementation of Quality Management arrangements at a Project Construction site level
• Oil and Gas and Infrastructure Industry experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Lead auditor qualification desirable.
